    add it in ini file, copy the recommendations of the post, change the values in diferents numbers. it does not work
    I play in skyrim LE

    maybe it interferes with the mods Skyrim - Enhanced Camera and Customizable Camera?

    Thanks for this! The camera speed always bothered me as well, and thanks to Flanua for the distance edit <3

    fDefaultAutoVanityZoom=100 (Default 300) Set the distance between the vanity camera and player character. Values lower then default zooming in closer to the player character and values higher then default zooming out father away from the player character.

    I hope this helps someone.

      It helped me... and i'm a complete idiot when it comes to "techy" stuff!
      Thanks for these tweaks guys, now i won't have to feel sick every time the vanity cam starts.
      Cheers!

    Simple mod to the .ini file, but as others have said sometimes it's the simple things that matter.

    Thanks for teaching me how to adjust the autovanity camera more!

    Endorsed!

    Re-inventing this game's current "Vanity Camera" would take WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more effort than tweaking INI files. And honestly, the games been out for half a year, if the payoff was worth the time and effort, it should've been done by now. In other words, it might just not be possible, or it requires re-inventing the wheel so to speak.

    Binding "Animcam" to a key might be the best we can hope for >,>

    Want file of the Month forever in Skyrim? Invent a moving Vanity cam as in TES4...so much was lost when they dropped that feature, (also)-----> a look around cam while riding your horse, again as in TES4 Oblivion. So much of our game is enhanced by such a feature.
    Thanks...OH! almost forgot! I am sooooo happy someone is tinkering with Cam controls I could just go out and drink some Ale.....good luck!

    I'll add to the number of people asking for a vanity camera like the one in Oblivion- it was far better than Skyrim's.

    Any chance this includes an option to decrease the idle time before the vanity cam activates. It is a really long wait. I think I've seen the vanity cam about twice in Skyrim, because I'm never sitting there doing nothing at all for long enough for it to activate. Something like 10 seconds would be plenty IMHO.

    OPTIONAL..........................................................................
    You can also add the following command to change the time it takes to start the
    vanity camera in seconds.

    fAutoVanityModeDelay=60.0000

    @RuGaRR :
    "animcam" doesn't really work the same as the Oblivion vanity cam. in fact it doesn't work AT ALL like it. LOL For one thing, the mouse's Y axis zooms in and out instead of looking up and down. Your camera is pretty much glued into whichever X axis angle you're at when you activate the command. Also, instead of holding the cam key, the "animcam" command just toggles your camera controls. it simply wouldn't work well while playing a serious game.

    in short, it might help a little with screenshots, but that's about it. The "animcam" command does the exact same thing as simply holding the cam key with one minor difference; your character doesn't turn and snap in the direction of the camera when walking. But considering the effort it takes to input the command to toggle the camera controls, it's simply not feasible to use in-game.

    ...EVEN if you bound the command to a custom toggle key. Without full Y axis control, it's not very useful.
