Ok, now that I have your attention, please take a moment to review the disclaimer and the information below before posting a comment about ______ issue you're having. Thank you.

Note: Postings that are deemed to be irrelevant, and of no use to anyone else, will be deleted. Please don't take it personally.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    DISCLAIMER

When Temporal AA is enabled there may be some frequent ghosting. This is caused by a bug in the TAA code.

There is a common issue with the appearance of shadows when they're set to "Ultra" in the SkyrimLauncher options.
Open SkyrimPrefs.ini and use this setting:

    iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5

When SSAO/SSIL is enabled, 1st person objects may become more transparent.

Other issues that you may experience are likely related to user error, mod conflicts, etc.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Game does not launch after installing the ENB preset

    • Install the latest DirectX End-User Runtime.
    • Disable all 3rd party software and overlays, such as MSI Afterburner, etc.
    • Right-click on enbhost.exe and go to properties, then Compatibility tab, and select "Run this program as an administrator".
    • In some cases, USKP (Unofficial Skyrim Patch) may cause issues. Remove it and test on a clean save.

Graphics still look like vanilla and/or some effects are not working properly (e.g. Sun rays shining through objects)

    • Verify that you have bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 in your SkyrimPrefs.ini. (Double check the .ini's created by Mod Manager)

Flashing/Flickering graphics, missing walls, character has no eyeballs, and other effects broken or not working

    • Verify that you have disabled AA/AF in the SkyrimLauncher options, your video driver, and SkyrimPrefs.ini.

Game is stuttering/lagging/crashing and FPS are unusually low

    • Verify that you have configured the enblocal.ini correctly for your system. (see HIGH PRIORITY COMMENTS)

The colors, brightness, etc., in my game looks unpleasant, and not like your screenshots

    • Verify that you have followed the instructions correctly. (e.g. edit the SkyrimPrefs.ini, disable AA/AF, etc.)
    • A weather-lighting mod or imagespace modifier may have been installed in your game. Try removing it.
    • Files from a previous ENB you were using may not have been completely removed. Try removing all ENB/SweetFX/FXAA related files from your Skyrim folder and reinstall my preset from scratch.

I've followed all of the instructions carefully, but ______ graphical issue still exists

    • Completely uninstall all weather/lighting mods, and imagespace modifiers from your game. (clean save afterwards)
    • Completely remove all ENB/SweetFX/FXAA related files from your Skyrim folder.
    • Backup your SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini in the "MyDocuments" folder. Delete them along with RendererInfo.txt. (Open and close SkyrimLauncher afterwards)
    • Reinstall my ENB preset from scratch.

Hello Everyone, thanks for enjoying this ENB and for your support!!

My apologies if your comment hasn't been answered. New projects have been planned for quite some time (Skyrim and various games), and I'm not sure if/when I'll get around to updating this ENB. Please accept it as is for now, the game still looks great, in my opinion.

(Future developments can be seen on my Flickr page.)

    ***ANNOUNCEMENT***

Be sure to try the Real Clouds mod, as it really adds alot of drama to the skies. Enjoy!

    May 3rd 2015,

***RE-Uploaded Depth of Field options UPDATE 4!
This includes the new "Soulwynd Enhanced DOF". Which is a heavily modified and partially rewritten DOF code based off the Auto Focus DOF, and includes a variety of Bokeh effects, D-N-I separation, GUI functionality, and more! (Thanks Soulwynd)

I appreciate everyone who supported my efforts. There are too many names to add to the "wall of fame", but you know who you are.

This ENB was originally inspired by Gionight and Confidence-Man. And last, but not least, a HUGE thanks to Boris Vorontsov, HeliosDoubleSix, and --JawZ--!

**NOTE: I can't promise any future updates or replies to the comments at this time due to real life commitments.

    Interior lighting mod compatibility:
    _____________________________

All presets are compatible with ELFX (interiors only), Relighting Skyrim, and More Dynamic Shadows.

ELE - Interior Lighting is optional, and my presets are compatible. The ELE - Interior Lighting module(s) should be used in conjunction with ELFX (interiors only, without the enhancer), Relighting Skyrim, More Dynamic Shadows, and RLO (interiors only). Choose one, and load the ELE - Interior Lighting module(s) last in your load order!!!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    HIGH PRIORITY COMMENTS

    Open enblocal.ini and set VideoMemorySizeMb=

Be sure to use the VRamSizeTest tool that I've included!

It will tell you what value to use for the VideoMemorySizeMb section of the enblocal.ini

Some of you may need to change the other parameters under the [MEMORY] category in enblocal.ini.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

For additional stability and avoidance of CTD and ILS issues, I recommend the following option below:

Sheson Memory Patch Overview (informational, see below for mods to install)

    Stability increasing mods:

    Stable uGridsToLoad
SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editor (This will implement Sheson's memory patch).

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Climates Of Tamriel users should try Project ENB
The "Realistic" preset is based off True Vision ENB

    THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Uploaded True Vision ENB v0.292 Pure ENB!

    July 3rd 2016,

This preset has been reworked extensively. Hopefully you will like it more than the previous versions!

Note: I've re-uploaded the files, nothing major. Temporal AA is disabled now due to performance concerns for some users. Sharpening settings have been reset to compensate for it.

SweetFX has been removed from my preset, so you shouldn't experience any issues on newer Windows OS versions (eg. Win10). Please be sure to uninstall all files from the previous version before installing the new v0.292 Pure ENB, including the SweetFX files mentioned below. Check if these objects are found in your game directory (where TESV.exe is located) and remove them.

    SweetFX folder
    d3d9.fx (not the dll file)
    d3d9injFX.dll
    dxgi.dll
    dxgi.fx
    injector.ini
SweetFX.txt files (harmless files on their own)

    THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!

2023 I use the performance extreme, enb v0.113 with my trusty old gtx950m and runs smoother than my father when he went to get some milk.
Exterior lowest was 57fps (when i start combat with fire spell to test it) other than that constant 60fps
    Interior constant 60fps
Tested with performance medium and it is still constant 60fps (DOF)
It looks WAY better than most if not all "performance friendly" enb for my rig imo.
Gonna test it with some weather and lighting mods to see more.

Thank You very much for making this!

Is this not compatible with Special Edition? All other enb mods eat up my frame rate.

Thanks! Makes Oldrim look even better than vanilla SE, and doesn't murder my FPS despite my not-strong PC.

load up ur game and and open the console then hit shift+enter to bring up the enb settings on top right usually under effects u will find a bunch of settings .. tick off the letterbox setting and it will remove the black bars ... additionally u can just edit the corresponding ENB file in ur skyrim folder so u dont have to do it everytime in game. just search for letterbox once u open the file and change it from true to false. this works for other annoying crap people stuff into ENB's too like crappy rain and snow or depth of field blur are usually the biggest annoyances for me.. yeah sure it looks great on ur youtube vid but its annoying when ur fighting in game and trying to play the game.

Hey so, first of all this is a great ENB! I'm in love with it but i have a slight brightness problem, it's very dark at night, and yes i have RLO (interiors only), i have uninstalled CoT, but the problem persists, anyone please help!

One more thing, since my pc is a potato, i had turn down some demanding effects (skylighting, ao), i have 50 fps and i'm happy.
