A few notes for mod users:
The current version of Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade drops the WeaponsArmorFixes_ambSkyforge_Patch.esp in favor of kryptopyr's own modified version of the aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp. The aMidianborn esp on its own does not edit the wolf armor set at all. In other words, the WAF aMid file is dependent on a patch esp that obsolete. What this means is:
If you only use aMidianBorn Book of Silence without the content addon, you should use the vanilla file.
If you use WAFR and aMidianBorn without the content addon, you should use the WAF file, not the WAF aMid file.
If you use WAFR and aMidianBorn with the content addon, unfortunately the WAF aMid Addon file depends on both the old patch esp (which doesn't exist anymore) and the content addon esp. While it is possible to remove a master dependency with TES5Edit, this is generally not recommended unless it's certain the file does not use anything from the master file, in this case the obsolete WAFR patch. I don't personally use this file and haven't tried this myself, so I can't give any advice in this regard.

An additional note for users with a bashed patch:
This mod lacks bash tags, so if you make a bashed patch the wolf armor stats from WAFR will overwrite this mod's in the bashed patch, even if you loaded Skyforge Wolf Armor lower in your load order. Fortunately, it's a relatively simple process to add a single 'Stats' bash tag to the esp, either through the 'Generate Bash Tags' script in TES5Edit or manually through Wrye Bash. This way, if this mod is loaded below WAFR, its stats will be incorporated into the bashed patch over WAFR.

thx mjharper I did one myself using average stats 36-19-14 between dwarven and orcish when I realized amidian born buffed all the skyforge weapons but not the armors
but I see your mod has a lot more tought behind it, so gonna use it instead thx for sharing

BTW it's not clear for players so I'm gonna say it :
only use aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp ? -> download the "vanilla" version
amidianborn does not touch the Wolf armor stats, only the weapons+shields, so you need the vanilla version

so I ran into an issue, I am trying to use "Skyforge Wolf Armor - Improved Stats" and "aMidianBorn wolf armor and skyforge weapons" and "Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade" LOOT says I am missing this "WeaponsArmorFixes_ambSkyforge_Patch.esp". has anyone run into this problem? If so can you point me to the right place because I can't find this esp to save my life. PLEASE HELP! I have the latest version of all the mods and im using LOOT and I have identified that it is this mod that needs the patch and is making me CTD

Hello, I have a question regarding the WAF aMid version of the mod.

I use Skyrim Redone and the ReProccer, and every time I try to run the ReProccer with the mod installed it says a master file called "WeaponsArmorFixes_ambSkyforge_Patch.esp" is missing. Weapons and Armor Fixes has a compatibility option to check for aMidianBorn Skyforge Weapons, which I selected, but it doesn't seem to add the needed esp file.

Am I installing something incorrectly, or using the incorrect version of your mod? Or perhaps some other problem?

Sorry for the trouble. I'm new to modding games, so any help that could be given would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You should read http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Armor particularly the Armor Rating and Armor Cap headings as it was actually consistent before. This mod actually makes Wolf armor worse.

I referenced that page continuously, while creating the original mod, and updating it today. That's where I took my numbers in the description about the armor cap from.

All I did was increase the armor value of Wolf from the same as Steel, to slightly above Steel Plate. Since Steel Plate is better than Steel, how have I made it worse?

Its worse because you hit armor cap so fast that with this mod installed its only "better" for a short period of time. At best its a short term gain for a long term loss. Vanilla armor for the most part is a solid balance between maintaining "progression" and still allowing you to look how you want without a significant difference in performance. When your armor is capped, only the other stats matter, like weight, which is how this set was handled. After level ~25 there is no objective difference between this and Steel, other than you like the look of this instead.

I disagree, and also that argument is not mentioned in the UESP article.

      I disagree for several reasons.

Firstly, with 100 Heavy Armor and 100 Smithing, it is not possible to reach the armor cap with Wolf Armor. You would need potions and so on to reach it in the vanilla game. With my mod, it is now possible.

Secondly, according to your argument, any armor over Steel Plate--the lowest quality with which one can reach the armor cap--is 'worse' than Steel Plate, because those points are wasted, etc. If that is true, then I'd hardly call vanilla armor a 'solid balance', since it continues to get stronger and heavier, with no purpose.

Thirdly, in specific relation to this mod, I have repeatedly refused requests to give Wolf Armor Daedric stats, because a sense of lore and balance is important to me. Your criticism would be better directed at a mod which just slaps Daedric stats on everything.

In the end, if you feel the modest improvement this mod offers is imbalanced, that's fine. The mod is not for you.

Just so you know, you can get Orcish armor from Malacath's Daedric quest as early as level nine. So balance for this mod is fine.

      Good point

You can also get into a fist fight with Uthgerd, make her a follower, and help yourself to her Steel Plate armour at level 1. Or am I the only person who did that?

I dont know what I did wrong but when I add the mod the stats go down. Mine are fine but with the mod off my armor is at 169, boots at 57, gloves at 57, helm at 85. With the mod on they are 93,36,36,46, and 41. I really want to use this armor set but steel is better than it right now. Let me know if its a load order thing or something, thanks

the invisible helmet option is basically like having the SkyRe helmless perk like (where you dont have to put a helmet to have the bonuses of the full armor) ????

I'm not sure whether I got something wrong, or whether the stats have changed in a patch, but I've recently noticed that the figures I used for Ebony are too high, and that those I gave to the Wolf Armour are basically those of Ebony. So I'm not sure what happened there...

I am thinking about adding some kind of set bonus for the armour, possibly requiring you to be a werewolf, in order to increase the value of the armour without just raising it to the level of Daedric.
