Branches flicker from dense to sparse as you tilt your view of them. In fact, merely turning one's vision up or down or left or right will make them flicker, whether or not they are in the sight of the player. This means that, as you progress through the autumn forest, looking only about ground level, the shadows cast down by the branches will flicker too as they are consistent with the flickering branches. This mod is good for screenshots, but has been a thorn in my side for some time now. I am unsure what .ini change I could make to fix this, and I'm positive this will be my only recourse as the author has been inactive for over 2 years. If I find a solution, I will report back. This mod, for all its faults, was easy to install and looks great on a single-frame basis, and, above all else, was performance friendly.

Exactly. Just downloaded and gave it a shot. Although it looks amazing for taking screenshots, it is actually a sore to play with it. Really a shame!

Apologies for thread necromancy. I returned to playing skying in the post USLEP era. So all my former mods were outdated and/or obsoleted by then. I have always used SFO since v 171 (where I believe I first began using Lush Aspens). After reinstalling the game, I accidentally copied over the original mods from my old game folder. But since 99% of these mods (though older) were same as the updated versions, then updating these weren't an issues since they were mostly bsas and not loose leafs.

Which brings me to the reason for my belated post. The purple tree texture issue people have been reporting in this thread. There is a reason for this which isn't obvious unless you view the file structure of this mod & do a manual install. This mod ONLY CONTAINS MESHES for both the original AND SFO version. So if you downloaded & installed this mod, you will always end up with missing textures. This is because this mod ONLY CONTAINS A MESHES AND NOT TEXTURES FOLDER!

SFO is the only environmental changing mod in my game. So 100% of the textures come from SFO. But I kept getting the purple trees around the map. After careful manual inspection & comparison of all SFO files (from the oldest archive files to the most current at the SFO mod page), it became clear that I had an additional 8 mesh textures in my Meshes folder. None of these files belonged to SFO. And this immediately led me to this mod (the only other vegetation mod) in my saved mod list. Verified these files after viewing the mesh files posted on here. Removed extraneous files and presto! My Skyrim was back to its normal green self.

So if there is still anyone who is still trying to use this mod with SFO....DON'T. For the following reasons:

    1. Mod is MISSING SFO TEXTURES. This is why you have purple tree textures for any aspen based meshes this mod provides for SFO

    2. This mod appears to have been a past collaboration with Vurt, the mod author for SFO. Lush Aspens provided the meshes & Vurt the SFO textures. Vurt has uploaded many versions of SFO in the past (and some of these are still archived on their page). However, it appears the SFO mod author may have forgotten to upload these legacy textures for the Lush Aspen mod (since these textures are not the work of the SFO mod author). So the texture files for this mesh mod were apparently lost in the shuffle.

3.The SFO mod site does NOT appear to have the missing legacy textures for Lush Aspens as an optional download. The current SFO mod version does NOT have these missing textures either inside the zip archive you manually download or install with NMM. Finally,

    4. This mod now appears to be defunct and/or dead based on the date of the last post (and mod author post) in this thread. So it's relatively safe to assume no mod author support is forthcoming to add missing textures in the near future.

    You have been warned.

Use "Divese Aspen Colors" from SFO page and put it before this mod.

your mod sucks. 4 of the meshes (atleast for the (half sized) vanilla users) are only the same and more than a thousand endorsements... heh

Hi there, It's an awesome mod, congratulations for doing it! But i have some problems: I'm using the flora overhaul users, and there are missing many textures from some trees. What is it for? I see old comments talking about the same problem, please help

    Some examples:

They have seams with seamless textures, please fix, as the meshes are great.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but when I download this mod it doesn't work. I downloaded once by NMM and then manually just in case NMM was screwing it up. Is this mod dependent on another mod possibly? I read the description and read through the comments but didn't see anything pertaining to that. Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Using the big version, gorgeous, but got a question: The distant tree lod thingies are still tiny for me. Is that on my end or does this mod not change that (yet?)? Thanks

Wow, still so amazing!!! This should have more downloads and endorsements.

For anyone that wants to use this with Flora overhaul summer edition v181: Delete treeaspen01.nif and treeaspen05.nif from this mod, otherwise you'll get pink trees

Here are som screens using this mod (half-sized) and SFO v181 Summer edition (and dense grass):

Edit: You should post som new photos from this mod together with SFO.

I just want to thank you for this beautiful mod, it makes those aspen forests more immersive, especially when used with your tall grasses mod. However, I noticed something wierd with you bigger aspen trees, I can literally walk through the trunks as if they don't exist. Maybe you just have to fix the collision properties of the meshes. Nonetheless, you have a fine work here and I'm looking forward for an update.

On a side note, I'm using this mod with Vurt's SFO, latest version (179e I guess). I installed SFO first and then I applied yours to overwrite the meshes. Is this correct? or should I do it the other way around?
