This mod seems to be outdated, so I decided to uninstall it but there is no guide on an uninstallation method. I tried searching a guide up on Google, but no luck. This is what I came up with so far:
1. Make a backup of your save. 2. Uncheck Enhanced High-Level Gameplay on NMM, MO, or Skyrim's Launcher. 3. Load The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and enter Breezehome. 4. Open up the console, tilde button, and type in PCB. 5. After you have entered the PCB command you will now wait 31, or more if you wish but 31 worked for me, days. I used the command "set timescale to 1000000"to speed up the time so I didn't have to wait long. Remember to set "set timescale to 20" (that's the default setting) setting once you have waited 31 days. 6. Save your game but don't overwrite your original save until you're satisfied with the result. 7. Once you're sure the mod is completely gone you can then delete Enhanced High-Level Gameplay.
To check if the mod is completely gone you can do an enemy name comparison with the old and new save because the mod introduces higher level enemies, such as Bandit Plunderer and Bandit Marauder for low level bandit camps.
I'm planning on trying out High Level Enemies because it supports Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and even Falskaar. Link can be found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27866/?
... it's only and esp... just delete the mod. but if you're really worried about your save (which you shouldn't be it's a light mod) then save before you uninstall it, then uninstall it, before loading up your save get the save game cleaner and remove all the # scripts and the orphan scripts, then save it as a new save. load up your save and you'll be good with out it. but just removing it should be fine. I just removed it and migrated my save to a new mod setup (with around 50 mods removed and around 100 added/updated) and I had no problems. if you know what you're doing of course.
I beg my fellow mod fans and modders to reconsider this move Valve has made in recent light of things.
Please consider the following terms from the Steam Workshop:
"When an item is sold via the Steam Workshop, revenue is shared between Valve (for transaction costs, fraud, bandwidth & hosting costs, building & supporting the Steam platform), the game developer (for creation of the game and the game's universe, the marketing to build an audience, the included assets, and any included modding or editing tools), and the item creator (including any specified contributors). The percentage of revenue an item creator receives from direct sales of their item in this Workshop is 25%, as stipulated in the Supplemental Workshop Terms. Your individual share may be smaller if you have added other contributors that share in the royalty payments"
But this supports the modder, one may argue. But I argue back: there are more intimate ways of supporting the modder (direct donations, etc.).
But as a modder I can't sustain modding without pay. But I retort: the spirit of modding lies in its non-committal approach to content making. (Mods traditionally are done for the sloots, not the loot).
What has been traditionally free and unique to the PC gaming community is now in dire threat of monetization. Mods are a sort of WIP extension of the vanilla game. Thus I believe it not to be sound that they should be sold in the same vein as DLC or expansion packs.
Don't know about donation sites. Steam Workshop mods are now allowing modders to make their content paid-content (not as in optional donations, but hiding behind a paywall.) I think that's what Eric has done with this mod.
Thanks very much for the mod!! It's just awful that Bethesda put such a low limit on creatures levels...Once you get the powerful items/enchants they are of no use as they enemies are so weak by then..
No, a lot of enemies in vanilla skyrim don't go past lv35 (he also said this in top of description), this mods fixes that and makes them scale past lv35 like the ones that already do.
anyone know how to uninstall this mod.. started a new mage and I forgot to disable this thing. now I ctd when I deactivate in nmm wont load screen. so I had to slug through saarthal..fought a demigod with a lvl 6 mage with just a fire atronach
Did you ever find an answer for a clean uninstall? I've tried locating every bit of this file and TES5edit still digs it up somewhere and my game CTD after logo screen? Thanks!
You will need to redownload the mod, open it up and look at all the file locations and names that it installs. Then you delete those files. You may have to install a clean Skyrim. I zip up my Skyrim and any time I've had to reinstall due to some mod breaking my game (usually one installed/updated on Steam) then I just unzip and uninstall the old one. Sometimes these mods break our game. Always remember to back up your saves before installing any new mod to your game. That way if it does break somehow, you can reload your save prior to installing whatever mod it is that broke.
