FOR THOSE WITH THE ARMOR NOT SHOWING UP / NO ESP / TATTOOS / LACK OF TATTOOS: 1 & 2) A Read Me file comes with the mod. After you pick your choices for the armor using Mod Organizer or whatever, check the last page of options before the install and the install instructions on the Read Me, they will tell you which kind of Plugin you need for the options you picked. Go then to the RAR archive/folder, then to the PluginType and pick the correct file inside Show Amulet OR Hide Amulet, based on the instructions. This is the ESP. Move it to your Skyrim Data folder, along with the Textures and Meshes from the mod. Done, the armor will be in your game.
3) One of the first, if not THE first, options your can pick when installing this mod is body type (what will show up on parts not covered by the armor). DEFAULT means it will use any body mod you are already using (if you don't have a modded one, it will use vanilla body). Unless you already have some tattoos mod active before this, you will not get tattoos in your game. YES, the sample picture in the FOMOD shows up a tattooed character, even on the Default option, but ignore that. If you pick Default, you won't have tattoos.
4) One of the first, if not THE first, options your can pick when installing this mod is body type (what will show up on parts not covered by the armor). If you want a tattoo, select the option that says it has tattoos. BEWARE though: the "with tattoos" options MIGHT replace any body mod you have, making every male in the game also have the same tattoos. Can't say, because I chose the Default option. Either way, picking a tattoo option will give you tattoos.
I can make a version of this with all variants included so that you don't have to pick and choose on install. All would be available for crafting, or choosing from additemmod or whatever.
1: would there be interest? (thinking of doing this for my own use anyway)
2: Would I have permission to upload here on the Nexus? Edit: (just re-checked permissions and it looks like I would, but just asking to cover my arse)
The .esp is under plugintype. Quite a bit hidden. You have to choose between "hideAmulet" and "showAmulet" and take one of those .esp's.
The FOMOD worked fine for me so I don't know why your NMM won't install the .esp or let you choose another skin type. Make sure you didn't rush through the FOMOD. If it's really not working correctly try installing it manually as it is described in the readme file. MO users should install this mod manually.
To those having issues with this involving Mod Organizer:
For some reason, Mod Organizer doesn't allow you to choose which .esp you'd want to use. You can find it in the downloaded archive in your MO's download folder, or wherever you put it on your PC in manual download.
It's in the "PluginType" folder - > http://imgur.com/1OQt6Kz
Thanks for this, I'd come back after ages to see if it was something I missed in the instructions. But nope, installer issues which were fixed by looking through the folder structure.
So yeah probably people should read this before dropping F-bombs all over the place.
Why is there not an option for no tattoo or one that only adds it for the player? I want to use this mod but it gives every male character the tattoos which ruins it's uniqueness.
