    Which file you should use:
"Underwater is single color and I can't see anything at all. And I have Dawnguard." = v2 with Dawnguard [main file]
"Underwater is single color and I can't see anything at all. I don't have Dawnguard." = v2 [main file]

"I use ELFX, and underwater is too blurring." = NoBlurTweak [optional file]
"Underwater is single color and I can't see anything at all. I don't need underwater color and Dawnguard swimming." = v1.1 [optional file]

You should use just one file. You don't need two or more of them.

    About DLC Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

Hearthfire: No need to patch it.
Dragonborn: No need to patch it if you already use GreenWaterFix_v2 or GreenWaterFix_v2withDawnguard.

    Detailed explanation:
DLC Hearthfire has no water property and Imagespace.
DLC Dragonborn has its own water, but its Imagespace is "UnderwaterImagespace" of Vanilla water.
So GreenWaterFix_v2 (and with Dawnguard one) is also applied to DLC Dragonborn.

This pic explanation is not only for "Total Realism" but also for "Falskaar" or "Tropical Skyrim".

Patching them for underwater visibility is:
    Adding "update.esm" as master.
Choosing "UnderwaterImageSpace" to their water properties.

    That's all.
It's "UnderwaterImageSpace" of "Update.esm" that you need for a solution of underwater problem.
After applying it, GreenWaterFix_v2 will work. (Of course you can attach UnderwaterImageSpace by yourself too. Just enabling "No Sky" of it. It's very easy. )

I prefer tes5edit because it loads the mods' files quicker than CK, it is easier to install, and able to use without launching STEAM

I once again installed Skyrim (v.1.9.32.0.8 ) from Steam on a new PC with Windows 11 and couldn't see anything underwater after installation.

I looked for this problem on the net and then found a reference to this mod. Since I installed all the DLCs, I of course decided on "GreenWaterFix_v2withDawnguard" and now I can see under water again, which is what the ships are under water or the box is important for Narfi.

    Thanks for this fix!

    Spoiler:
    Show

PS: As I can see from the activity log of the mod page, this fix mod is still in high demand in 2024.

Thanks for this! It helped make the water usable until I was able to fix it.

For those who are having this problem: Check if the launcher recognizes your card. If it doesn't, you may want to look at https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34970. That program was unable to recognize my card either but using the preset for GTX 460 (I have the 970M) with it, I was able to fix this problem.

Hit "~" type (teofis) hit enter. And don't forget to click the screen first. Hope it'll help.

How to i add blurring or fog distance back into the water when using this mod with the lastest purity mod?

I found myself able to see the horizon of the sky whilst swimming underwater due too being too clear, no blur, no fog distance etc.

Thanks a lot, AltheaR !! This fixed the pitch-black water I had with Enhanced Lights and FX plus a few other mods and all the official DLC installed. In case anybody has the same problem, it only worked for me after I put GreenWaterFix_v2withDawnGuard.esp AFTER ELFXEnhancer.esp. LOOT gave me the wrong load order, btw.

I could say this mod fixed my problem for awhile. Later I find out that reinstalling directx (9&10) actually fix the glitch in my game.
In my case, the glitch happen after I install a new update of nvidia driver, so anybody with the same circumstances (no matter its nvidia or amd) might want to reinstall their directx to see if this solved the problem.
