Using setav will have the change revert back to the original setting after the current session...i.e. the change will not persist after quitting and loading a save. Use forceav or modav instead to have the change be permanent.

This is for anyone looking at this mod in 2023 - all I want is a mod that stops horses from attacking other stuff, that's it. And I thought this was it, but sadly I was wrong.
Long story short, this mod stops NPC's from attacking you while you're on horseback - they'll aggro on you and shoot bows etc, but melee enemies will not attack. They'll just gather and look at you.
but it does exacly what you say in your first sentence :o and its NOT TRUE! I got atacket while riding. from meeles :) and a Giant sended me - and only me - to the moon too! My horse was waiting for my corpse after my landing, without even got a scratch :3 (cause my dead alternate mod bugged XD) soo there is something on your modlist wrong...or another of my 148 mods fix these issues without me knowing XD
I was using convenient horses just for the features in this mod. Assuming the faction relations are even remotely the same, its a welcome addition to my load order.
Also, anyone that says this doesn't work in vanilla entirely as advertised in vanilla, you're probably right. I'm no mod author but there seems to be so many factions that the mod author might have missed one or maybe bethesda added more since 2013. Idk, but seeing as this has no scripts (at least thats what the person below me said), it can't possibly dynamically update factions. But that's fine, making efficient scripts seems relatively hard (compared to setting horses essential and/or increasing their speed in the CK).

I wanted to say I am on Skyrim SE: Anniversary Edition and this mod works fine without problem !

setav confidence 0
setav aggression 0
The horse would run away when there are enemies.
