    Follow these steps before posting:

    IMPORTANT NOTE (credit to Crushboss):

    Players not using HDT Physics need to use the XPMS Skeleton 1.95.

    Players using HDT Physics need to use the XPMSE Skeleton 3.77 (or newer).

    Anyone using old hardware or a slow computer should not use HDT Physics (based
    on your load order it doesn't appear that you are) and should stick
    with XPMS Skeleton 1.95.

    These skeletons are heavily tested and widely supported. The Skulltyrant and other skeletons are out dated and
    no longer supported.


    I'm extremely selective with the animation mods I install due to being bitten in the butt numerous times by them. It is really frustrating to spend two weeks troubleshooting a load order to find it's the animation mod that is causing the crashes (been there done that three different times).

    Anytime you add any animations you must run GenerateFNISforusers.exe to register and build the new animations.

    Your skeleton should always be the last mod installed and you shouldn't allow a mod to overwrite any of it's files.

    Players often get confused and install the wrong skeleton and incompatible mods (mostly animation).

    You should be using FNIS 6.2 and XPMS 1.95.

    The only time players should use the XPMSE 3.77 skeleton is if they are running HDT Physics (which I personally frown on). This skeleton also has a ton of other requirements that will cause issues if you don't follow all instructions.

Be grateful that you will be a perpetual "beta tester" (puppet) for the multitudes of evolutions that the mod will continue to outgrow.     28.6hf1 - fixes spawning of bandits, bolstered spawns feature. They were spawning at the player, and behind the player, while on the surface. Very annoying and immersion breaking.

    2. Fixed 5 dirty edits. would never upload a new version for 5 itms but renaming was needed for better patch support and to make a grumpy man a little happier.

    Surprise! (FB will not be surprised) . 25.0!!! Ported over from the SE side, after I said i would not. Go figure.

    25.0 - I ported the SE version of SOT over to the old skyrim version. How is that for something different that most sane people are not doing? Half the reason I did it was to see how hard it would be. Interesting experiment. But it has been completed. The mod now has only ONE esp file, no more use of two esps. One esp to rule them all. This also means that:

    1) New game required. NEW GAME REQUIRED. Do NOT spend any time trying to upgrade a new game. Will be game suicide.
    2) Patches for earlier versions of this mod WILL NOT work any longer. Will cause crash to desktop if you cry. Hopefully Fishbiter will update his patches, they are very useful.
    3) Your wrybash patch and your tesedit patch are probaly toast as well.
    4) On the pro side you now will have all the fixes and new feaures I have added over the last couple of months.


    I have found a MAJOR flaw in the spawn placement of bandits on the surface using the bolstered spawns feature. This feature will take existing bandits and clone them for a tougher fight. This is different from random surface encounters which may spawn bandits or 20 other enemy types and is working fine. The bolstered spawns fearure, which clones works in one of two ways:

    on line of sight acquisition of player, from a bandit

    or

    when the bandit cell is first loaded , when all its 3d is loaded.

    It defaults to line of sight, as that allows for good sneaking tactics. if you are not seen no extra enemies appear and you can take them out before they see you.

    All that is fine and dandy.

    What is wrong, and took 10 hours to fix, is that the new bandit spawns were spawning AT THE PLAYER LOCATION, or within 1800 units in a random direction from player location. This makes NO SENSE as they appear from nowhere, and sometimes end up embedded in a mountain. Had one that ended up with only his head above ground. Funny. I killed him out of mercy.

    But to illustrate further, I am approaching a tower with 5 bandits defending it. I try to sneak shoot them, I miss. they see me. They are on top of the tower and on the bridge. I am still a good ways off. Before fix, the spawns appeared not far from me, up to 10 or so if settings are set to 2, and in every direction randomly. this was no good and unfair, and not fun and unbalanced and etc etc.

    Thus The Fix. I added a temporary invisible spirit that spawns at the bandit locaiton that sees the player. he is programmed to walk a little ways off, but not too far. Then the clones appear there, at that location where he ends up. This results in neatly spread out spawns over where the bandits are. On the bridge. On the tower stairs, on the top of the tower. Not two steps behind me. But to fix this I had to edit several hundred records, thus the many hours spent.

    Additional changelog items:

    1 - added two more traps in two more crypts.
    2 - added Rune Sword Stormbringer as a reward when damsel is rescued. This sword and its companion Great Sword are no longer up on nexus or found anywhere, which makes them all the more precious now. The sword transfers life force from enemies to the Dovahkiin. The runes glow red in dark dungeons. Very cool.
    3 - fixed up a quest description
    4- made fiery horse from summons cowardly, he was fighting all my battles. will make him banish after three hits soon.
    5- added new creature, debuting in bleakfalls barrow. carefully examine area around campfire when you first enter bleak falls barrow. let me know what you think.
    6- fixed text in walking die roll description. was opposite of fact. and the fact is that the higher the die roll you set, the more spawn encounters that will appear.
    7- added a skull pedestal in the graveyard of Falkreath. If activated it will start the zombie apocalypse. meant for players who report that the zombie apocalypse never starts.
    8 - The greatsword version of Stormbringer is now fixed with proper meshes, a gorgeous creation. The Death Knight shield that was invisible is fixed. Avata of Baltazar was fixed. Some other misc things.
    9 - changed textures and meshes to 1024k size. 32 bit skyrim cannot really ahndle more with a mod this large.
    10 - Lobo fixed up many Rumiirua records and also made their skeleton more compatible with body mods. This should gete rid of ctds some people were having due to not using needed x32 skeleton version.


    New Magical Ring added to game. The Chaotic Ring of Escape.

    The ring:

    1) sold by Melanie the Healer and the Gypsy Merchant.
    2) injected into various game leveled lists , sepcially boss loots
    3) if ring is equipped, the player will learn a new shout called "the wail of despair"
    4) if ring is removed, the player loses shout
    5) if player uses shout, he will lose the shout and the ring.
    6) there will then be a 24 hour cooldown period. this will be in effect even if another ring is found or bought and used immediately.
    7) the shout will teleport player out of danger, randomly placing him somewhere else in the dungeon or surface.
    8 ) a random ammount of your gold will be left behind in a satchel at the spot you teleport from. you want it back then you will need to go back. when skse is back i will also have it removed some armor and weapon items.
    9) all equipment will be unequipped once teleport is done. player will be woozy for a few seconds. after that he can re-equipped his gear.

    This was something I was working on in the old skyrim version of sot and wanted to finish it. I was trapped in the room where you find the horn for the greybeards, and tired of being killed over and over. this was the solution, though i started a new game once I migrated to se skyrim.

    FAQ:

    Question: why am I immortal?
    Answer: you are not. It's a feature that you can toggle on or off. When hit, the feature turns to dovahkinn a random amount of health between 1 and max missing. Help newly dovahkiins survive and toughen up. Turns off by level 15. You can toggle off in one of the books. If hit repeatedly your luck WILL run out. Use mcm menu to toggle.

    Question : I use Live Another Life, game never starts!
    Answer: place after sot in load order and use bsa version of this mod.

    It is suggested that you use a TES5EDITMERGED patch as well as a Bashed patch for optimal performance

    All: the gap between old anew Skyrim sot versions is too wide. New is at 35.2 . Old is 29. But I don’t want to just replace this version with the new one. Lobo3222 has invested tons of time and effort into fixing up this version. It is stable. But very outdated. Having both 29.0 and 35.2 on the same mod page will make support a living hell. Thus a new mod page will be setup with series 2 of the mod.

    fixed rabb re-spawning and boss chest not appearing in Halldir's Cairn, Vampire Hunters fighting each other should be fixed now.
    fixed mage robes textures and meshes that braxton stormcrow sells,...still haven't found proper model for the selling view (still offset)
    put folder in proper place for bsa fiss users,
    other minor bugs that i came across.
    Edit: i noticed i forgot to put the world mesh for capes (for when dropped) in the upload..i'll fix when i finish updated se (a day or 2) sorry all
    30.b has all the meshes included new game not needed if upgrading from 30.0 anything lower and new game needed.

    There might be something wrong with the level list of this mod as sometimes in dungeons it causes saves to become corrupted and cause CTD's when loading them

      no.  you need to follow all advice on STEP guide specially do not add or remove mods after this mod.  Never change its load order.  Mod works.

    Does this mod add chaos rings? And the scum that teleports to me and kills all enemies when I have half hp? So annoying.

    Hey, and the issue which arose recently is most unlikely directly connected with this mod - but I hope that perhaps someone else in the waste user community may have come about it as well and may have found out which other mod may have introduced the issue..
    since I started a new playthrough once the SoT trigger started the mod the SoT Mobs - especially Ruima - appear as LARGE question marks (!) on red triangles.. that goes for all mobs - dragons - Liches etc..
    anyone had a similar problem? or suggestion what may cause this. you can still interact - meaning Kill  and Loot!!

    Would be great if I don't constantly have to deal with random battles which I have no way to end because the hostiles are half the map away

    How do you disable the "I have a bad feeling/I feel some change" everytime you're nearing bandit camp? The bandit Tower northeast of whiterun was supposed to be a "toll bandit" not a cult fanatic who just want bloodshed

    I wish there was a standalone for shrine looting punishments. Removing that feature from the formula was an egregiously immersion-breaking thing for Bethesda to do.

      not enough time.  i can no longer spent nights and nights on modding like i used to.  this mod by itself was hundreds and hundreds of hours.

    This is a great mod i really like the challenge, i have to prioritize my crafting skills above all or else i won't be able to even clear bleak falls Barrow.. however i found some minor incompatibility with better vampire, feed options won't appear on enemies that were generated by this.. in any case this is a great mod..

    Just wanted to say thank you! I've been using this mod on and off since release. I've played through Skyrim sooooo many times, it just gets boring after a while with the same enemies over and over again. Sooooo, I started a new "playthrough" with this mod in it's full glory. LMFAO, I tried Bleak Falls at level 5..... It did not go well for me. But, I am having a damn good time :) Thanks again for an amazing mod. Back to Bleak Falls I go.... now where did I put that rpg....
