One of the first NPC mods I ever did, but never released, was a crowded cities mod in Chorrol - my favorite city in Oblivion. NPCs had neatly done schedules to make them feel alive. Thieves, snitches, jailbirds, guards, and more! I wanted to return to those roots by doing a whole new mod series, but with the modding knowledge I have now, in a whole different game.
Hence, Denizens of Skyrim.
What this mod does is add 11 new NPCs to the Khajiit Caravans, they will follow the caravans around and protect them from danger, as well as converse with one another (except for Uxiite, who couldn't care less about the Khajiit).
The NPCs:
Bumamul gro-Mogdtur
An Orcish Mercenary in the employ of the Khajiit Caravans. He's tough, no nonsense, and willing to do what needs to be done to ensure the safety of his charges.
Yo'draska
A Khajiit caravaneer with a sense for business. He often takes the Whiterun route with Risaad and Khayla, although why this is is anyone's guess. But some say that a local Whiterun Nord named Ysolda often pays him visits in the dead of night.
Rakasada the Meek
A Khajiit merchant who tagged along with the Khajiit caravans, and brother to Yo'draska. He is very meek, and will often flee from danger when it rears its ugly head - earning him the ire of his fellow Khajiit caravaneers.
Ko'dasha
A supposed seer within the Khajiit Caravans. Whether or not she truly holds the power to tell the future, or if its just some cheap parlor trick meant to rake in septims, is anyone's guess. But rumor has it local bandits use her powers to tell their fortunes....
Gluph gra-Bolmgub
An Orcish Mercenary in the employ of the Khajiit Caravans. She just wants to get her job done, and nothing more. She takes no joy in traveling with the Khajiit, and often finds them to be lacking in many fields - no less combat. And their accents? Annoying. But still she presses on, knowing the coin is too good to pass up.
Uxiite
A Dremora who has been bound to the serve of the Khajiit Caravans by way of their local mage, Daro'avi. He takes no joy in his service, and often fantasizes about murdering the lot of them. But still he presses on, hoping that one day Daro'avi is slain, alongside the rest of the caravan he serves. Little does he realize a special enchantment has been placed upon him, dooming him to walk Nirn forever until his death.
Daro'avi
A Conjurer and mage of the Khajiit Caravans. She's a friendly soul, and talented to boot. She has conjured and bound Uxiite to the will of the caravaneers, and does not intend to let him go - much to Uxiite's disdain. Aside from that, she's a powerful, talented soul who is a welcome addition to the caravans.
Dar'hannar
A Khajiit mercenary in the employ of the Khajiit Caravan. He doesn't talk much, and when he does, it's often words of wisdom to his fellow Khajiit, and offers of barter with outsiders.
Do'aana
A swordsmaster hailing from Elseweyr, he has tagged along with the Khajiit caravans in the hopes of seeking his fortune in Skyrim - a land ripe with opportunity and strife. Although he seems stuck with the caravans, as they are always on the move, he is hopeful that the status quo will change soon.
J'ada
A Khajiit Warrior who taken up guarding the Khajiit Caravans. Not much is known of her past, aside from the fact she seems to be running from something - or perhaps someone. Maybe that's why she's in Skyrim to begin with? To avoid the trouble she potentially got into in Elseweyr?
Ak'zaddha
A Khajiit warrior who has taken up guarding the Khajiit Caravans. He is not very good at his job, but he shows heart and loyalty - and sometimes that's all the Khajiit needs. He has come to Skyrim to make his fortune in guarding the caravans, and intends to earn it. Whether through bloodshed, or honest work.
