Mod created. Full redesign of mammoth vocalizations.
Mammoth Sound Overhaul
The original mammoth sounds weren't all that bad (in fact, I think some of the roars and bellows are quite good), but some of the sounds either didn't have enough gravitas (e.g. the death sound) or didn't sound elephant-like enough (the conscious loop). So, since elephants are my favorite animals, I decided to give the mammoth a sonic makeover as well!
What does this mod entail?
It's a complete redesign of all mammoth vocalizations in the game.
Foley is not included, but depending on my interest, or more importantly, the community's, I might add my own takes on such sounds in a future version!
Used various sounds from sound effects libraries to create a unique set of sounds: no copyrighted material here!
Sourced primarily from elephants (both Asian and African), and supplemented by vocalizations from lions and horses, inspired by the sound design from The Lord of the Rings films.
If you still need convincing, here's a small taste of what the mod has to offer!
