Thanks for enabling me to give Meeko a friend (me). Though I don't own any homes yet (other than ones added by mods), he is a very nice companion. He follows me everywhere I go, he fights for me, he stays put wherever I tell him to "wait". I haven't sent him anywhere because I know that he'd go back to the shack and I don't want him to do that. I also have Asky (mod - "Asky - almot like a real dog") and the two get along with each other wonderfully. When a bad guy comes at me, they're on him so fast that it makes your head swim. When I'm sneaking through a dungeon, I have them wait for me in a safe area while I go ahead and clear out another section of the dungeon. Once that's done, I go get them and move them up to the newly cleared area. It's a little more work, but they're worth it. The only thing that makes me feel bad is that Asky has to be fed twice a day, and I can't feed Meeko. When I feed Asky, Meeko gives me that look; yes, you dog owners reading this know what I mean - "that" look. I feel really badly that I have no way to feed Meeko, too. LOL!
Please remove Meeko from Breezehome front door. It requires more skill to cross him each time I enter Breezehome than defeating Alduin. Personally, I have fixed it in CK.
the mod idea is good but you left no unninstall steps,
I needed to uninstall this mod but I just cant, if I do deactivate the mod Meeko will just walk away from me (and no even going toward his shack) and I wont be to rehire him. if I wait or enter a loading screen he will just dissapear to god knows where
a few steps for a fix would be apreciated but I dont even know if you are still there
Someone on Steam made a version of this for Dawnguard. Don't know if it works with Hearthfire or not, but I'm about to give it a shot. And I agree with OriginalLadders, not everyone wants a kid. However, if it doesn't work, I might as well get a kid for Meeko.
Is there any chance you'll be making this for the other Stray Dogs too? I'd love to adopt them all and let them live at my Hearthfire homes ;w;
Orrr... maybe I could derp around myself with the CK to try it out. What did you do to make this work on Meeko? Anything I can do to make this work on Strays myself perhaps? o:

EDIT: Okay somehow I managed to set the standard place for "Stray Dog" next to my home, so that's where it's lolligaggin' now. Weird thing is, I have only one Stray Dog now (I had two, one sitting there after the "wait here --> time to go home" thing and one following me).

You will be teleported there. However if you want to know for a console, the shack is west of Mortal and directly south of Solitude docks
