About this mod

You know that annoying blur/flash effect you get when using a shout? Such as Whirlwind Sprint? This mod removes them all. Can also save a few fps due to removal of the fancy effects.

This mod was originally made by TactWithMolag for SSE and backported by me thanks to generous open permissions.  The description below is from the original modpage.

What this mod does:

These types of effects are called "image spaces", some examples are that Night Eye blur effect, Whirlwind Sprint flash, and the vision distortion when you're poisoned.

What this mod does is simple, I removed all image spaces for shouts (and also werewolf howls, because those are voice powers too)

Why should you remove them? Not being temporarily blinded is just a quality of life feature, but it's ALSO going to help prevent visual bugs with any ENB you have. Can't get an image space bug, if there is no image space to have! Plus, it's more immersive in third person, to not have a screen effect.

Everything else about shouts/howls has been unchanged, I just removed the screen effects.

Installation:

Install as usual, manually or with a Mod Manager. I suggest using the ESP file, but there's an ESL file if you want to try that. I don't know if it'll work as well, if at all.

Compatibility:

Should be compatible with everything, let me know if it isn't. Also, it won't work with modded shouts. Meaning that if you use Thunderchild for example, this mod won't remove those image spaces. In short, it only works on vanilla shouts.

Requirements:

None, other than base game and DLC like Dragonborn and Dawnguard.

Future Plans:

I might add an optional separate version that removes all spell image spaces, but there's WAY more spells than shouts, so that'd take a while. Feel free to comment if there's anything you want added, fixed, or changed. I might've missed a couple shouts.

QnA:

Q: Will you make a patch for X?

A: Quite possibly! It'd have to either be vanilla content, or a mod with open permissions though.

Q: Can I port this to X console/platform?

A: Sure, use my mod for whatever. Just be sure to support it on your end, I can't fix a mod someone else ported.
