I wont use this mod, but aside from your siding fight, you should observe that the author failed to mention that killing those guys will add thousands of gold bounty to Falkreath hold. just look at his screens. this is something that should be mentioned in Description. and if the author dont want this to stop ppl use his mod, he should remove that bounty as is simply against his own mod purpose.
as for the Stormcloak vs Empire vs Thalmor siding... they are all wrong, but arent so all the old forms of government? Elves consider themselves superior to the humans - racism. Empire think that all humans should stay under their rule -tyrany. Stormcloaks want a deserved independence, but they ignore that is not the right political moment, as the humans must first defeat the elves and then solve their internal issues.
Actually... Skyrim willingly joined Tiber Septem (Talos) when he founded the empire, and if you read over the TES lore you would find most Empiror from Third age are actually Nords.

Hammerfell had a good reason to leave the empire because the empire did left them at the mercy of Thalmor, Skyrim? It is hardly oppressed by the empire. The only thing Empire ask Skyrim is stop publicly worship Talos (but it's ok if you worship him in secret). And Skyrim at very least owns Empire for shielding itself during the Empire Thalmor war. You would know Bravil which is in the Northern part of Cyridil is almost destroyed if you done Brotherhood questline, this speak how much devastation the war cause, and in Skyrim there's hardly any sign of war so the Nord should at least be grateful to Empire for that.
Yes, I'm a hardcore Empire supporter. When the Thalmor is strong human has to stick together to survive rather then going individual directions.
the main enemy is the thalmor... yet a few nords (typically stubborn and stupid) think that the only way to restore their right to worship a god is to fight imperials who are unwillingly forced to do something instead of the main cause of this whole trouble... thalmor. (and this my friend has more similarity to false governments in country's like mine --iran-- who create chaos and put it's people's lives on the line for it's personal desires and yet justifying it as god's willing and such BS.)
The choice is clear... fight for a group of xenophobic racists that want to kick everyone but their own kind out or for a bunch of criminals who don't mind screwing over anyone to better their own position. Nothing like choosing between 2 different kinds of evil.
