About this mod

Evelanna is an AI custom voiced follower. She's a Breton thief who has only recently arrived in Skyrim. She has quest and location awareness comments. Evelanna has a few mini quests and various custom options. This is my first mod and is a work in progress.

Evelanna is a custom voiced Breton thief. She currently has around 1650 lines of dialogue. Evelanna hails from High Rock and has only recently arrived in Skyrim. She has a number of features, some of which unlock as you befriend her. Evelanna is designed to be a game long companion. As such, to begin her introduction quest go to the bridge outside Riverwood. An event will occur once you have crossed the bridge...









  • [size=3]Evelanna has a regard system. As you finish quests and eventually give gifts, her regard toward you will build, unlocking other options and quests including marriage (Check the next section to see a guide on romance).
  • Evelanna is marriable. Once married, some unique features unlock: Hugging, dancing and stealing random items - instead of a store. Marriage is now independent of the vanilla marriage so you can have a vanilla spouse and Evelanna.
  • Evelanna starts off as a dual wielding rogue type character, with perks appropriate for this style. She has a couple of unique skills which can be unlocked at certain points during the Thieves Guild questline.
  • You can switch her combat style between melee, missile and magic - once you become archmage.
  • You can teach her some spells that you know once you have become archmage. (Note - there is a chance that she will fail to learn spells.)
  • She will gain a pet at a certain point in the main quest.
  • Can learn to heal the player.
  • Has a relax feature (If used in a settlement, can lead to thievery and a small bounty on your head).
  • Can give you lockpicks.
  • Can give you potions.
  • She can now unlock doors and chests. This is dependent on how far through the Thieves Guild questline you are. You need to stand fairly close to the locked object and Evelanna needs a lockpick in her inventory to have the dialogue pop up.
  • After completing the Thieves, Mages and Companions questlines and reaching romance rank 8+. You can increase Evelanna's health, magicka and stamina stats. Note - there's a small chance that the stat goes down. 
  • You can give her alcohol and she may get drunk and use different dialogue. 
    • Location awareness comments.
    • Quest commentary (Check below for which quests are covered).
    • Various taunts for most enemies.
    • Can tell you some info about certain locations.
    • Evelanna has a few mini quests to upgrade her gear. These will unlock at certain stages of the game/her regard system.
    • She now has an intro steal quest which unlocks after gaining the unlock door feature. After completion, a repeatable steal quests starts.
    • Has a scene with Nazeem - randomly unlocks after she has made idle comments about him.
    • Has a storage feature which doesn't count toward carry weight. Unlocks at a certain stage of her regard system. 
    • Has a training feature for sneak, lockpicking and pickpocketing. If you have a  relevent skill book in your inventory, Evelanna can increase that skill by 1 point every 24 hours. Max 5 levels per skill up to skill level 50.  Requires - romance rank 3.
    • Linked to the above point, she can read the beginning of the sneak, lockpicking and pickpocketing books to you.
    • You can now give Evelanna cakes. Requires romance rank 3. For every 5 cakes given, you get +1 romance rank - resets after 72-96 hours.
    • She has a currently unfinished questline of 2 quests. 
    • Evelanna has various features located in the "Hey Evelanna" dialogue topic:
    • Set and change outfits. She can auto switch outfits when entering settlements, player homes and swimming.
    • You can set the distance she follows.
    • Set her to not draw weapons when you do.
    • Have her wear a cloak and hood when raining/snowing.
    • Have her wear a mask when sneaking.
    • Have her use a lantern when dark.
    • Have her summon a horse when you ride.
    • Set her home.
    • Learn a summon spell.
    • Pet options.
    • Evelanna uses a 3BA body with diamond skin and some overlays from skin feature overlays.
    • Bodyslide options for Evelanna and all her armour/clothes.
    • My bodyslide preset.
    • Evelanna uses some different animations. You need to have Open Animation Replacer/Dynamic Animation Replacer installed for these to play.
    • Added a checker if Evelanna is installed on an existing save. Checks for main quest and thieves guild completion and gives you the bonuses she would have received e.g. romance rank, skills.

    Romance Rank
    Dialogue appears under - "Tell me about yourself Evelanna."
    At rank 5 under the above dialogue, you have the option to progress romance or end it.

    How to gain romance ranks:
    • 7 ranks - Main quest
    • +/-1 rank - Golden Claw quest
    • 1 rank - Intro quest
    • 5 ranks - Thieves Guild questline
    • +/-1 rank - Dawnguard questline
    • +/-1 rank - Ill Met by Moonlight
    • -1 rank - The Whispering Door (if completely finished)
    • +1/-1 rank - The Taste of Death
    • +1 rank - A Night to Remember
    • Can give gifts from rank 5-19
    • At rank 19 go to an inn and buy her a drink
    • At rank 20 buy an amulet of mara and talk to her for marriage




    Quest Guide
    • Temper armour 1 - romance rank 3 - talk to evelanna - Tell me about yourself Evelanna.
    • Temper armour 2 - complete thieves guild questline to get armour - make her put it on 10 times
    • Temper bow 1 - complete temper armour 1 and wait 120 hours
    • Temper bow 2 - romance rank 19 - share drink with Evelanna. wait 360-480 hours
    • Skills - various stages of thieves guild questline
    • Quest 2 - romance rank 5 - talk to Evelanna - Tell me about yourself Evelanna. wait 24 hours
    • Healer quest - romance rank 3
    • Unlock door feature - lvl 1 - TG01 completed, lvl 2 - TG09 completed, lvl3 - TGLeadership completed.
    • At unlock door lvl 1 - Can start a scene in Belethor's shop where you steal an item. If successful, steal quests start when you enter a location marked as a store - if you succeed or fail, resets after 24-72 game hours. if succeeded, adds 1 romance rank.







    Install with your mod manager of choice.
    A new save game is ideal.
    Evelanna uses various animations. These use OAR/DAR. You will also need to run FNIS/Nemesis.
    To Update (when I have time to update :)):
    It should be safe to update so long as Evelanna is dismissed.
    If recruited, dismiss and save the game in a different location.
    Quit the game and install the update.
    Load the game and recruit Evelanna again.

    Open Animation Replacer: Evelanna uses various animations. If you do not use OAR/DAR, none of these will play. 

    Note: Don't use follower frameworks on her as she has her own with her own features. She should be fine with NFF, just don't force recruit her in to it or she might probably will break!





    Evelanna is my first ever mod so it's definitely a learning process. There are a lot more features I want to implement, (once I have learned how!).

    As stated, this is my first ever mod. I'm sure that there will be some bugs I haven't discovered. I do apologise for this and will do my best to fix them as soon as possible. Please feel free to mention them in the bug tracker.
