About this mod

Changes jarrin root's effects for my favorite poison, but with more reasonable potency.

Permissions and credits
I've changed jarrin root's alchemical effects to damage health, lingering damage health, paralyze, and slow. I've also lowered the damage health potency from the insane 200 to just 5 for balance purposes (for a point of reference, imp stool has a value of 2 and deathbell is 3). The other stats are also a bit better than average, so jarrin root becomes a poisoner's best friend without being OP.

My favorite poison recipe is imp stool, human flesh, and slaughterfish scales/eggs for paralysis, instant damage, and damage over time. In my current playthrough, I'm roleplaying as a farmer who grows all of her ingredients, but I can't get all the poison effects I want from just the ingredients I can farm. So I made this mod, adding slow to the mix because why not. Imp stool plus jarrin root gets me the effects I desire most, and adding deathbell also makes it apply slow.

"Why jarrin root? Why not a more common ingredient?" For balance purposes. For those who don't know, jarrin root is acquired late in the Dark Brotherhood questline. To start this questline, go to the Honorhall Orphanage in Riften and talk to the orphans until somebody mentions Aventus Aretino. This will only give you a single piece, and there is no other way to acquire more of it without mods, cheating, or farming (see below), so don't use it on the assassination target if you want to use it for poisons.

If I get enough requests, I'll make and upload alternate versions with different potencies. (Hence the description on the "Files" page.)
Now with a weightless version. Install one or the other.

Installation:
Drop the .esp into Skyrim's data folder.
Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Skyrim > data

Requirements:
There are technically no requirements to install this beyond the base game, but I HIGHLY recommend you, at minimum, have the Hearthfire DLC and a mod that makes jarrin root renewable.

Recommended Mods:
Farm Everywhere (create planting spots anywhere you want, makes jarrin root renewable): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25655
Field Alchemy (make potions and poisons without an alchemy table): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27153

This is the first mod I've uploaded to Nexus (or anywhere, for that matter), so please be gentle.
