For everything regarding the modernization of Skyrim's Main Menu, you've come to the right place!

The core of this Mod is Ciathyza's
"Precise Main Menu Wallpaper Mesh"
(let's call it PMMWM),
which brings Main Menu Background Replacing to the next level.

Now savely converted to work seamlessly for Skyrim LE!

With their provided Template PSD file (over at SSE) it's become easier than ever to create your own Replacers.
Be sure to give it a try yourself, if you've always wanted a special artwork in your Menu but nobody's done it yet!

---

For me this was the case with the official Skyrim marketing artwork, which you can see at the top.
As soon as I discovered it, I've fallen in love and been using it as a Desktop Wallpaper for a long time.
And sometime, when I was playing and modding Skyrim LE again, I just realized how perfect this would be as a Main Menu Wallpaper.
But apart from one Mod, that sadly butchered the scaling and colours, and another for Skyrim SE, which also added a little spice of it's own, I just couldn't find one that simply gave me the plain artwork as it is.

After some unsatisfying fiddling around with other Wallpaper Replacer Mods to make my own, I found out about Ciathyza's PMMWM with it's clear Template and it was just perfect.

Originally, I intended to only provide the Wallpaper Texture here and to have you download and convert the original SSE Version yourself.
But Ciathyza was kind enough to allow me to provide the converted Mesh as well, making your installation experience much better.
So please go to their page and show some love and appreciation with an endorsement!

And without any further delay, here's how you install it.
Follow it through to the end to also make the most out of available Mods for modernizing Skyrim's Main Menu!

PREREQUISITES

Choose your favourite Mod Manager.
Using Mod Organizer 2 and Vortex myself.
I recommend Vortex for Beginners and smallish Modlists and MO2 for avid Tinkerers and all sizes of Modlists.
Not saying Vortex is incapable of handling large lists, it just might get more confusing to manage compared to MO2, telling from experience.

If you want to install manually, I shouldn't have to tell you how, so don't expect support in this case.

Generally, I highly recommend you follow the STEP Guide for best Modding practices and having a solid foundation to build upon!

The following Mods are expected of you:

INSTALLING

Start here:

REQUIREMENTS

1. Download and install both "Font Overhaul" and "Font Replacement".

Now you may choose to install as A) All in One or as B) separate files.

A) AIO
2. Download "Vokun's Main Menu - AIO".
3. Install the Mod within your Manager and activate it. (Vortex: click Enable and deploy, MO2: check Enable box)
4. Check your Plugins load order and make sure, "NaturalLoadingScreenColours.esp" is there and enabled.

B) Separate Files
Make sure every Mod is activated after installing! (Vortex: click Enable and deploy, MO2: check Enable box)
2. Download and install "Precise Mainmenuwallpaper Mesh - LE".
3. Download and install "Vokun's Wallpaper Replacer".
4. Download and install "Natural Loading Screen Colours (ESP)".
5. Download and install "Vokun's Font Config".
6. Check your Plugins load order and make sure, "NaturalLoadingScreenColours.esp" is there and enabled.

Now you're done with VMM's Base and may move on to my Recommendations!

RECOMMENDATIONS
Be sure to check each listed Mod's own page for install/load order recommendations!

1. Download and install "Really Smooth Interface" and let everything that follows overwrite it.
2a. Download and install "Improved Cursors".
2b. During Installation, choose your preferred Cursor styles (follow 6c. for my preference, check the screenshots on how it looks).
2c. Type: Right > Cursor: Spear > Cursor Size: 75%
3. Download and install "Kalicolas Live Action Intro HD" and make sure "sIntroSequence=BGS_LOGO.BIK" under [General] in your Skyrim.ini is set.
4. Download and install "Menu and Load Smoke Removed for ENB" and let it overwrite "Skyrim Particle Patch for ENB".
5. Download and install "Main Menu (Filter by Character)" (loose interface file recommended, overwrites "Really Smooth Interface").

OPTIONAL
6. Download and install "Main Menu Design Replacer" for a quality alternative to Skyrim's default Menu design (overwrites "Really Smooth Interface").

And now you're all set for a nicely updated Main Menu for a much better User Experience!

Do let me know of any feedback and recommendations you may have, since I still might've missed a special Mod or Tweak, even after countless scouring of the Internet and forming my own preferences.
I'll be sure to update this Page as new Info trickles in!

Precise Main Menuwallpaper Mesh LE: Incompatible with any Mod that alters the same file and only usable with Wallpapers made for this mesh!
logo.nif

Vokun's Wallpaper Replacer: Incompatible with any other Wallpaper Replacer obviously!
mainmenuwallpaper.dds

Natural Loading Screen Colours: Should be compatible with everything, since it only alters one Imagespace record.
Only other Mod I found was "ELFX Enhancer", which comes with it's own values, but it can be savely overwritten.
LoadScreenIS record

Vokun's Font Config: Only works with both "Font Overhaul" and "Font Replacement" installed, but can be savely overwritten with other configs e.g. making your own.
fontconfig.txt

With all other kinds of Mods: Tested extensively with my own advanced Modlist (800+) without any notable issues.
But should anything come up, let us all know through the Bug-tracker!

UNRESOLVED: New Image-space not active at game start!
The new Image-space unfortunately only kicks in after you load a Save and then quit to the Main Menu.
I've tried to get it working from the start, but sadly to no avail yet.
It might be linked to how Loading Screens work, but that will require more time for me to look into.
Any assistance in this regard is highly appreciated!

UNRESOLVED: Even with the new Image-space, Wallpaper not in it's true colours!
Even with the altered colours, compared side by side it's still off into the greenish tint and this could be the cause of a couple of things.
I've tried altering the Wallpaper Mesh's shading properties and looking into the Main Menu Cell itself, but sadly without any progress on the matter.
With time, I'll play with the Image-space values and see whether there's room for improvement.
Any assistance in this regard is highly appreciated!
