Skyrim

About this mod

Tidy up by returning items to their positions, removing ash piles and dead bodies. Activated in an immersive way just by using a plain broom (sweeping animations included).

How this works?
A simple cell cleaner tool that will help you keep your player home or any other location pristine. Just click on a broom in your inventory and your character starts sweeping. Sweeping will:
- disintegrate dead bodies
- delete ash piles (
did you know that those never get removed by the game?)
- return all items belonging to the cell to their original position
What will it not do:
- remove bodies of unique NPCs
- remove items dropped by the player
- move items placed on weapon racks (vanilla type)
Activation conditions:
- not in combat
- no drawn weapons
- not running

Compatibility:
Does not modify any vanilla assets so no conflict with other esp files.
It might somehow conflict with mods that make environment destructible like "Destructible Skyrim" or "Destructible Bottles". Since I don't use them I need to test this further to be sure.

Load order:
Anywhere.

Installation:
Standard.

Uninstallation:
I don't recommend uninstalling anything mid-game and this mod is pretty unobtrusive but if you absolutely must type 'stopquest SweepingQuest' in the console, save, quit, disable the plugin, reload, save again. Open the new save in ReSaver and remove any unattached instances/udefined elements, save your file in ReSaver. Now the mod should be completely removed from your save.

Other notes:
  • Scripts used only when broom is used. No constant running scripts. No polling.
  • Time of cleaning depends on the number of items in the cell.
  • You can still see dead bodies on the minimap if you are using the mod by Felisky.
  • When outside you are not able to see cell borders so you can get an impression something near you was not affected. In truth it belongs to a neighboring cell. Just change your player position.
  • Skyrim SE has something similar but it relies on Papyrus Extender and the one for LE seems outdated and deprecated. So I made one just dependent on plain ol' SKSE. No dll plugins needed.
