The Dwemer Herbarium

So... What is it?

The Dwemer Herbarium is a large underground growroom for ingredients. It is perfect for those who wish to grow large quantities (maybe, like me, you want large amounts of ingredients to use in another mod).
It has;
  • Over 200 Hearthfire planters (okay.. 201) - and yes it took ages to make that many.
  • Switchable irrigation system (just for looks, but it looks pretty cool!) - Just use the valve by the main door.
  • Small respawning fish farm (just grab them fishies!)
  • Alchemy area with safe storage
  • Separate living quarters cell with cooking, smithing and beds for you and your followers.
  • A mixture of static deco and stuff you can take and use.
  • Sounds and feels like an ancient Dwemer building (I hope)
  • Respawning barrels with ingredients (the ones on the dwemer shelving in the main hall - DON'T USE THESE FOR STORAGE they will respawn and you will lose anything stored in them)
  • Weird little dwemer spider gardeners that won't attack you. Don't like them? Just smash them to pieces!
  • Decent FPS even on my potato laptop.
  • Fully Navmeshed inside and out.

So... What isn't it?
It's not a complete elaborate player house, just the basics really but that should be all you would need as you take a break and wait for your ingredients to grow..

So... Where is it? It is on the road out of Markarth towards the Gold Mine (so go East out of Markarth then north, walking past the Khajit trading area) or just check the map, it has a visible Map Marker just east of Markarth.

Will this work with...
This mod will for sure work with Auto Harvest 2 - Loot Container and Deadbodies but by default that mod doesn't harvest from Hearthfire planters  - you have to modify a file first.

Just find the file "flora.txt" here " Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\autoharvest2 " and remove the # (and the space) before each of the lines below the "# HearthFires Planter Object" line - You can now harvest automatically from the planters in this mod and in-fact every other Hearthfire planter in the game. I personally don't consider using Auto Harvest 2 for this "cheating" unless you want to have to keep harvesting 200+ planters every 3 days :)

This mod has been tested with the wonderful Markarth House mod (which sits fairly nearby to this mod) and it seems to work fine with no issues.

Probably doesn't work with Touring Carriages - its right by / on the road so the carriage route will probably be confused. Not too sure though as haven't tested it.

Probably compatible with most mods unless they modify the exact cell(s) that the Herbarium outside door sits - which is unlikely.

Do you have any other mods?

OUT NOW:
Tower of Light worship the nine divines in style! A large tower in the mountains perfect for a pilgrimage. Plus custom ritual robes + player house.
Lost Dwemer Repository A fully featured player home in a long-lost dwemer repository with open windows, decontamination shower, placers for various dwemer items, advanced teleportation grid and more...

COMING SOON:
Tamriel Art Gallery - A vast gallery museum in Understone Keep, Markarth for those who love to collect art & sculpture and generally flaunt their wealth! A huge project which has taken me over 2 years. Its been recovered from multiple hard drive failures and now im determined to finally finish it - its 95% done!
Paulinos Villa - A modest yet well equipped house in Whiterun next door to the Hall of the Dead. Great for early/mid game. About 90% done..

COMING PROBABLY NEVER:
Lost Valley - enormous dark-themed castle in its own external cell, open windows and switchable altars for daedric worship. About 50% done, another huge project - might give this a go after the Art Gallery
Museum of Hidden Knowledge - another vast project, museum in apocrypha with extensive player house - about 60% done but I lost all of its scripts in a HDD meltdown so might never be able to get it working again. But who knows maybe someday.

Q&A
Can you make this mod for SE?
No way of doing so - can't afford SE plus can't even run it so no chance of doing it myself (I couldn't test it) HOWEVER if someone else wishes to port it to SE please send me a message & the files so I can upload it on the SE nexus (that way I can still provide support personally) I will of course thank the user who ports it in the description.

Can you port this to console?
Again no way of doing so, don't have a console just this potato laptop

I can't get in! I tried punching the door, screaming at it and throwing Lydia head first at it but the door won't open!
The key is on the floor infront of the door :)
