Nice work, I like these a lot! Not many good cave retextures out there, same for mines. Have you thought about doing them too? Its a very similar texture set.
Would be nice to have these sets as a standalone sets for a few particular caves. So that not to replace everything, but add more variety in game. But your moist cave looks highly appealing, I'm not gonna lie!
Also, I don't think it's that hard. Every cave is a secluded little world, a cell or a few cells with no connection to the open world except the portal. Tes5Edit and a bit of a simple NifSkope work should do the trick.
just because each cave is in a separate cell doesn't mean its easy... You'd either have to work with alternate textures - which is painful or You'd copy the same idk how many meshes | redo the texture path for each | then go into 1 cave cell | replace the base id of the referred cave meshes with a new one that is connected to the alternate mesh you created in step 1 | redo that for idk how many caves exist in skyrim that use these meshes
Good luck :D
Ps.: there definitely does not exist a mod that goes so far to change each caves textures.
It's not even noticeable honestly, I get 60 fps top inside caves; only four textures are 8k, rest is still 4k I'll make a 2k-4k version when I've got the time, but just try this current version, I bet you'll be surprised !
true enough, but I mean, I've got like 300 mods installed, but there are a lot of textures in the game, so the majority of them are still the vanilla HD, especially for things that don't involve actors. but maybe there's something better to compare against
The people still using vanilla textures aren't likely to replace that with 8-4k textures. It is also unreasonable to expect an author to make a bunch of comparison pictures between various texture mods users may or may not be using. An easy and less lazy solution to your problem is to download the mod you're curious about and test it out :)

Or a monstruous amount of time spent in nifskope editing every single cave mesh

i should get this one too ,while its warm and tasty
I didn't include any parallax textures nor meshes supporting parallax
