About this mod

Most of non-armor and non-robes clothing now remains the same whether worn by man or woman. A pants&shirt outfit you loot from someone will no longer magically transform into a dress the moment you put it on. Same goes for dresses. Also, both versions of the outfit can be bought at the store, and are worn more or less randomly by NPCs.

WHY THIS MOD EXISTS?

This mod was brought to you by my years-long frustration with not being able to wear pants when playing as female PC.
Also realization that somewhere out there might be people with similar but opposite problem. That is all.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

It changes most of existing civillian outfits to remain a dress regardless of body type of the wearer,  and adds a counterpart outfit that always includes pants. The names and world models were changed accordingly to reflect that. You can find, loot or buy either version of the attire at usual places. The denizens of Skyrim also can wear either version. With rare exeptions, those are chosen randomly by the game on load, so it's a coin toss whether any civilian you meet will be wearing pants or skirt. If this is not to your liking, feel free to tweak the mod however you please for your personal use.
If you rummage around in some old barrels, you should find some discarded undies. I know there were some mods floating around that allow to sneakily put underwear on NPCs when you loot them, so you can use 'em for that. Or maybe you just enjoy running around in your boxers; go wild, I won't judge. ;)

WHY DOESN'T  [this or that outfit]  MOVE LIKE IT SHOULD?

Because I'm not a professional and weigthing clothes for Skyrim is hard. For this reason this mod was years in the making. I would pick it up, got frustrated because nothing looked right, drop it, then pick it up again months later, nothing looked right, rinse and repeat. Finally I got to the point when I'd just squeeze my eyes shut so as not to see the very bad weighting/clipping problems, growl "good enough, good enough" and move on. So if you put a skirt on your dude and it looks alright when standing but bunches or tears very weirdly when moving, that is why. If you think you can do better, please do. But don't ask me to fix it, I beg you. I don't know how, and I might cry.
BTW, The mod also icludes replacement files for male boots/shoes. I do not remember why I thought it was necessary, but
who am I to question the wisdom of the past me?

REQUIREMENTS:

All DLCs, USLEP, HDT Physics Extensions and some version of XP32 Maximum Skeleton.
Because I firmly believe that putting wiggly butts on dudes is funny and you can't change my mind. :)

(I might provide wiggle-less versions of the outfits if asked, but it's not a binding promise)  EDIT: So, I've received not one but two requests for no HDT version. I am weak and couldn't resist obliging. I'm farily sure you still need XP32 skeleton, since that's the one I use both in game and BodySlide, but presumably HDT Physics are no longer necessary. Please be aware that I only went through projects in OS, removing belly/brest/butt bones, and then batch built the whole wardrobe. I didn't test any of the new outfits in game. There shouldn't be any problems due to HDT removal, but I can't be sure. Do let me know if there are any game-crashing bugs.
On a related note:

Caliente's BodySlide/OutfitStudio files

I have added two optional files. They contain all the files you'll need to build the 'crossed' wardrobe in the shapes you prefer, with or without HDT. (The female outfits use all the sliders that come with BS, so can be shaped very easily. The male ones would need some work in OS). If you're familiar with Outfit Studio, you can also re-weight or otherwise modify any outfits that give you trouble.
The projects are set up to build the nif files in the folders that my plugin uses; the file names and folder structure is identical to the vanilla one, just moved to folder meshes/SNT_XD/human. Do with this information what you will. ?

FUTURE PLANS:

I intend to add variations of some of the outfits that will only affect female Khajiits and Argonians, so that they don't have breasts. Also, for fun and variety, I'll make some of the humans fat. There is no deadline for this happening, though.
