Has anyone made it in yet? I'm stuck at the first set of eagle and owl gates. There are two mazes on either side of the gate room. One side is Vorin and the other Magar(?) I found the Eagle switch in Vorins chamber, but it didn't open the Outer Eagle gate. I was unable to find the Owl gate switch in Magar's chamber at all. I have been through it twice to be sure I didn't miss something and I'm still stuck. Any hints that can be shared?
I'm in a similar situation, i've done the whole left wing, i found one switch on vorin's sanctum,there is one at the top of a column, but i couldn't find any switch on the chamber.
Edit: same thing as khermit here, i got the owl door opened but couldn't open the eagle one, i also opened both barred doors
figured out my issue! I had a mod installed called "Gates Don't Reset" I believe it affects the trigger box for the activator. Gates worked fine in newer version without that mod installed. They didn't work correctly when that mod was active. Posting here for future generations
I'm glad you mention that here. We had a live stream at Twitch last night and I was flustered why it didn't trigger. I do not know if he was using this mod but nevertheless I will alter some doors just to avoid issue like this which I didn't anticipate. I've tried 1.01 and didn't worked for me, but I can confirm that 1.02 worked as expected.
one thing I've noticed, is that the owl gate on the portgullis have a portal room thing, because from some angles the camera shows just the cell space empty. Also, is there a chance to have a version without the tower? Or maybe set it as a static object, otherwise we will have to recreate again the lod from skyrim
It must be the optimization cube that the window portal must be too close that's why it will show the outside of the cell. I will check on this. As for the LOD I can make a no tower version just for you my friend or I can make as an optional download a no tower version.
I would leave the tower there! So what if we have to run LOD's once in awhile? The newest version worked great for me VH. Putting those switches in there for the Eagle and Owl gates, made it idiot(like me) proof. Loved the dungeon man, another quality mod!!!
Yes the tower is mine (Lodor's Tower). The first version was a much more high difficulty but I eventually toned down the boss stat so that it can be made radiant quest enabled.
