Today I present to you a port of the mod Daedric Voices, which was created by hxhunter15 for SSE.
What does it do?
It causes you to occasionally hear the voice of the Daedric Princes when you wield their weapons and utilize their artifacts.
Any requirements?
You need SKSE.
For best results, you should start a new game. The dialogue might not fire correctly otherwise.
Are there any differences between this port and the SSE version?
Yes, actually.
When I asked hxhunter15 for permission to port the mod, I came across the report section and read it with interest--particularly the posts about some of the audio files sounding a bit jarring. In a follow-up message, I asked if it would be okay for me to try to fix up the sound files, and hxhunter15 agreed. Well, life got in the way (doesn't it always?) and I had a couple bouts of terrible burnout because my main mod (Denizens) is all about audio, too, so I have been feeling like I'm drowning in a sea of audio files lately.
I have done what I could for the majority of the files. The problem is that some of the dialogue lines chosen do not cut off properly (because of how the actor says the line--you can tell it's leading directly into anther word or sentence when WHAM, instant cut-off), and so some of them sounded incredibly jarring. Since no subtitles were displayed, I had a bit of leeway and decided to re-extract and manipulate some of the source files instead. Out of the 251 files, I fixed-up 133 and outright replaced 24 of them.
The only other difference is that the wav files have been converted into fuz files and have been packed into an archive file to further save space. (Loose wav files quickly add up.)
There are four files to choose from:
Daedric Voices LE Port is exactly what is says on the title. It contains the converted esp and has a shiny new LE-compatible archive file that holds the scripts and the audio files.
Daedric Voices SEQ File may be useful if you did not start a new game when first trying the mod. If the dialogue does not seem to be playing, installing this might help.
Daedric Voices_Sound Files for SSE contains an SSE-compatible BSA file that holds ONLY the sound files. SSE users will still need to download the original mod to obtain the scripts and compatible esp.
Daedric Voices Zia Patch is for Daedric Voices and the "Complete" esp version of Zim's Immersive Artifacts. It was graciously provided by the fabulously named singsongpingpong.
I very much hope you enjoy this port! :)
