Huge thanks to everyone that helped testing the port!!! - Smartcrab - 93lonewolf - Swamianand - UlrichBF20
About the Oldrim version: Everything seems to be working fine, but duos are a bit harder to get right in LE. If something is not working, no big deal, you can stop the performance by pressing "E", wait a couple of seconds or re-enter the building and try again. Hope you all have fun with the mod!
it's because another mod is editing the instruments. Place my mod in the last place, throw the instruments to the ground, pick them up again, they should work.
Do I need this mod so Lurbuk actually lives up to his infamy reputation? It would seem a bit silly to install two mods just so Lurbuk actually sucks as much as everyone says.
edit: Oh, apparently that feature was added in version 1.5, and this version is 1.2. I got suspicious when I could find no records modifying Lurbuk or even mentioning him. Oh well, guess its staying out of my load order (at least until I either decide to play a bard or this gets updated).
I have yet to do a bard playthrough, but I can't stop laughing hysterically at the comments everyone makes when you suck terribly at playing instruments. Such a simple concept, but so well executed. Since the ENBs always make it dim, thanks for brightening up my skyrim.
What exactly does "active the files" mean? I have installed Talent via Vortex. I have downloaded Ba Bard Songs and looked at the extracted files. But where do they go? I have looked for install instructions and don't see any in either your description or the forum here.
I am hoping for a speedy reply as I am eager to test this out.
I'm not familiar with Vortex. Maybe someone else can help. What I mean is activate the mod (like when you install textures that don't have a ESP file) but then in your load order, do not activate the actual ESPs.
Or better yet, just open the installation folder and delete the ESPs, same result. For the record: I don't think having the ESPs installed will cause issues, I've never had any issues using form 43 files (those of Oldrim) in Special Edition. But this is my recommendation just in case.
Vortex is the new Nexus or took its place. It creats a Mod folder and puts most mods in that folder. some parts get put into the Data folder in the game's directory.
Vortex put the game in C:\Users\[myname\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrim\mods\Skyrim's Got Talent - LE Edition-108342-1-21LE-1625839172 This is where SkyrimsGotTalent-Bards.esp and SkyrimsGotTalent-Bards.bsa are located I draged the 3 folders into this directory Fmod Images Sound Not sure is this is what works. A couple played songs had no sound.
my bard is moderately skilled atm and I'm getting mute songs too. Very eerie. And I'm learning so fast (high speechcraft?) that I'm worried about missing out hearing some of them :(
EDIT: Sorry I didn't read the whole wall of RP text because I thought it was just fluff, I'll DL that other thing and see if it gets its act together.
EDIT2: If anyone else is interested I did manual download from the SSE mod page for BA Bard songs, then used "install from file" in Vortex. Installed, enabled, sorted plugins etc and it seems to be running fine so far.
You're looking at the wrong game. This is Skyrim Legendary Edition, the version of the mod you want is this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50357
I just use NMM community edition because it's simpler and easier to use. I mean, sure: Vortex is more advanced and updated, but I really don't care for the layout.
Question: some musical numbers (does not depend on the instrument) have no sound. Dovakin plays the instrument (he has already received recognition for his talents), but there is no sound. Why is that?
In the description, you indicated to install "BA Bard Songs" (most likely that's why I didn't hear some musical numbers). Q: "BA Bard Songs" for SE or will it work for SLE too? I'm sorry. I was inattentive. The mod was installed via mod organizer. Everything worked out (I didn't even delete esp). Q: Can you increase the playing time on the instrument? For example: 1 minute; 1.5 minutes; 2 minutes.
Seriously, how you make the 'cover your ears' songs version happen? That's a totally professional 'unbearable'-ness. Those 'baby's first steps' songs are cute!

any chance you'll port the ""Free Movement Patch for SGT"" in LE?

How? Mine just moved them to SSE when I tried that bleeqh...
Nvm I did it wrong, never use drop files for this mod. I used the "install from file" button in mod list beside "check for updates"It flags this mod as not being for Skyrim AE.
