Here is my favorite SE weather mod, backported for LE. The esp is esm tagged (esl does not seem to be available).
Expect zero or minimal performance hit (possible with heavy precipitation). Solstheim is included - you get serious ash storms, but also a ton of clear days.
Heavy fog will appear in most regions a small percentage of the time. Rain and snow are more intense, but appear less often.
It can rain and snow when the sky is partly cloudy. Plain overcast days have been banned. Clear days are many and gorgeous.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed you retained the vanilla raindrop look. Is this compatible with ramccoid's RAIN mod? I prefer weather mods with more visible, less fine raindrops. (Thanks for porting this back to LE by the way!)
Your welcome Q, Regarding compatibility: this mod defines clouds, sky, fog and the mix of various weathers in each region of skyrim. There are a few added textures. The rain texture is associated with extreme rain. The particles are large and semitransparent. To date, no one has cited incompatibility with anything. I use it exclusively myself and love every minute of it! ~GMF~
I was trying the already deleted LE ports of weathers modsby godsp3ed (mainly mythical , dolomite and rustic) and boi this one is a fine addition very good atmostphere even if is vainilla friendly . Im gonna still use rustic because I like dark fantasy but have endorsement!
He is not banned his account is still there he has a statement in his profile idk why he deleted his port and mods but he is uploading again in LL . I ask him if he is going to post the weather mods (probably not) but no answer
