I would propose an alternate if rather evil method, turning over Annals of the Dragonguard to the Thalmor. While it would be a small thing to have Delphine and Esbern disappear from the game - all their quests summarily shunted from the journal there's still Skyhaven Temple to deal with, does the player own it now or does it become a Thalmor base? Interesting to think about at least. Of all the alternatives there's never been the direct route of putting a sword in their (the Blades) guts.

"We needed him then, we don't need him now"
    She's talking as if Paarthurnax is a D*LDO !!!
The only reason her guts aren't on my weapon Racks is because I have no option to do so.

    I mean what's next ? Odahviing ? "He's the second-in-command to Alduin , go kill him good boy ?
Then Durnehviir, cuz you know "He's a very powerful dragon enslaved by the ideal masters,he's a threat to us ,good doggy go kill."
Oh now they're dead, Dovahkin take this Knife and Kill yourself, because you are technically a dragon who killed so many giant threats, making you the greatest threat to humanity !!!

Thanks for the mod. Installed it shortly before I got the quest, and it worked like a charm. It always annoyed me that the Blades talked big about serving the Dragonborn, but then instantly flip and go "Do what we say or we aren't going to talk to you anymore." I suppose that does fit with what Arngeir said about the Blades saying they serve the Dragonborn, but not really. But this mod and its results better fit what I want from the game.

Now I am imagining the Blades working alongside dragons in the future.

    How to start the quest?
The mod is properly installed and I can't get the quest started
"...about paarthurnax" only gets me the default chatter, and have no new dialogue option

Just in case you haven't found out in the meantime, you have to talk to Paarthurnax at the Throat. Then you can make your decision.

This worked perfectly. Installed it mid-game, just before "Season Unending", and had no troubles. Loved how grudgingly Delphine had to bend to my Dragonborn's will in the end, well done.

I'm absolutely going to install and give it try, just for the sake of shutting Delphine up ;D
But! The main issue with her not her stupidity but the underline purpose of Blades everybody forgets about - not serve but watch and guard. Idk how could it be another way around. Dragonguards are not the Blades (not exactly) the former were native akaviri but the Blades are imperials and their purpose changed drastically (it is described in some dairy in sky haven if you look closely). And lore gives us the doubts - are they really on the Dragonborn's side? Really? Are you sure?

love the demo vid and i certainly want to install this kind of mod again but the old paarthurnax dilemma mod it made greybeards mad at me after sparing paarthurnax... do i get the same hostility from them or any of those 3 factions as a bug after i finish the spare quest?

Hello, @jayserpa! First I must thank you for great mod.
I will offer a possible in-universe "pragmatist" perspective on the decision of sparing or killing Paarthurnax.

?But by building on top of the lore and the content that is there, I have made things bit more grey with this mod. The player will have to consider the pros and cons.

The Paarthurnax mission is a dilemma usually understood question whether being pragmatic (kill potentially dangerous next leader of dragons or even delivering justice to a war criminal) or idealistic (forgiveness, giving chance to someone who worked hard to be good). Paarthurnax is the only chance for most dragons and mortals (particularly, in Skyrim) to coexist. That coexistence can be used to preserve strenght for other things. for example, the eminent war with Thalmor.

If we think by out-universe logic, the decision to spare him is the pragmatically and ideologically right choice as it stops dragon attacks to populated area or wilderness that can kill unique npcs. (And PC can still be dragonslayer by waltzing into any outside word walls). By in-universe logic? We don't know. As you pointed out, he could turn bad again ver~~~~~y later. But in short term, when a civil war tears Skyrim apart and another war with Thalmor looms in, the chance of dragons following Paarthurnax to be peaceful becomes very tempting.

    Best regards.
