Excellent work: I wanted a more vanilla style mod to distinguish them from bandits. I've actually been silently waiting for this for years ;o; Any chance of making an option to have them all spawn as nords to represent the fan theory they're an anti-werewolf breakaway faction of the companions?
Unplayable Faction Armors LE by NordWarUA is indeed a great alternative, this mod is for people who wants a vanilla look for the Silver Hand members and/or for people who just wants a simple mod for the Silver Hand.
The Silver Hands in the first quest, given by Aela after Skor's death to retrieve the first fragment, were all wearing regular bandit fur armor. Their object name was bandit. But there full name was Silver Hand.
I'll go look in TES5Edit to see if I have something else over-riding this mod. Usually everyone has on their steel plate armor (or the leather armor, if they are an archer).
Thanks for letting me know. I got the same issue here. I think the quest does not use Silver Hand NPCs but rather renames the bandits. I will have to look at the script. However I am not sure I have the skills to fix this yet.
Good idea, they do look like a band of thugs at the moment, perhaps an added 'low end' enchantment of resist disease could be incorporated for those 'contact' occasions.
I would have suggested a 'silvered' version, but for it to have any effect of repellent against the 'Creatures' it would probably need a script or whatnot... perhaps going too deep there.
