This took me longer to do than I'd like to admit... But I've finally learned how to make a follower using a racemenu preset. I hope it goes smoothly for your game as it does for mine. 

Syeledeth has made her way to the inn at riverwood. Upon arriving however, she finds there are many people, but nothing to do. She longs to travel the lands of skyrim, but she doesn't wish to travel alone. That's where the legendary Dragonborn comes into her life. Will she stand beside the Dragonborn as he/she climbs through the ranks of the esteemed companions? Or will she follow the Dragonborn into a darker side, joining the thieves guild, or worse. 

She's good with whatever you hand her. She spawns in with hide armor (She might not be wearing it fyi) and an elven dagger. She knows a few spells like magelight, healing, and conjure familiar to name a few. I'd recommend using a mod like UFO to get the most out of this follower.
