Despite this mod claiming that it will automatically equip the last arrow used or that you can set up sets to pair an arrow to a bow, neither is true. Even when I manually equip a bow and the arrow type I want, if I unequip the bow then equip it again it equips iron arrows (or whatever the worst arrow I have is) rather than the arrow previously equipped (like it claims it's suppose to do). So assuming Unequip Quiver does actually do this then it's better.
I downloaded this addon for SSE using Mod Organizer 2. During install it automatically asked me if I want to unpack the .bsa and delete the original. I answered 'yes' to both questions and it simply worked. No extra .bsa extractor or Creation Kit needed.
Where are people getting the idea that you can't simply mod manager download and activate this? I'm using it on my current playthrough and never had to do anything complex... It works fine.
@tunax09 @Kroosade The mod works no problem with normal Skyrim and can install via Vortex and that's all you need to do. The update process mentioned is for upgrading or making it work with SSE.
I can't figure out how to get it to work... I unzipped the manual download and put the .esp and .bsa files in the data folder with all my other mods and it's not working. I don't understand what the other comments are saying lol noob
1. Put the Auto Unequip Ammo.bsa and Auto Unequip Ammo.esp into your Data folder (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data) 2. Run the SkyrimLauncher (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim) 3. Click on DATA FILES 4. Make sure the Auto Unequip Ammo.esp is enabled and click on OK 5. If you've the Skyrim Configuration Menu installed, it should work now. If not, you've to use the console commands provided in the description.
I just installed this mod and it's working fine. So, if it's still doesn't work for you, it could be your load order or some other mod messing it up.
Download Auto Unequip Ammo as you would any other mod, I did it through Vortex.
If you are using a mod manager, locate the Auto Unequip Ammo folder. There you should find Auto Unequip Ammo.bsa and Auto Unequip Ammo.esp. If you are not using any mod managers, then wherever you extracted the original .zip to will have those files.
Extract your .bsa to the same location by opening it with the .exe of whatever .bsa extractor you have installed, and delete the original .bsa.
Ensuring you have the mod active if you are using a mod manager, open the Creation Kit and load Auto Unequip Ammo.esp, then save the plugin.
Everything should now work. If you haven't used the Creation Kit before, I can probably try to help out. ^–^

Simply installing through Vortex isn't enough for this mod to work.
