A quaint mod for the modern modding scene.

DESCRIPTION

Convert the magic-focused Dragon Priest masks (Morokei, Nahkriin, Vokun, Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos) into clothing, heavy armour or light armour at will. Simply take them to a tanning rack to cycle between armour types.
NOTE: You will need each mask's original version if you want to use them on the busts in Labyrinthian.

Also adds a new mask, the "Dragon Bishop Mask", which combines the effects of Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos (aka the three masks added in the Dragonborn DLC which increase you damage dealt with their respective elemental spells), made by merging the three masks (and some additional ingredients) at a forge. This mask starts out as armour-less clothing, but it can also be converted into light armour or heavy armour, just like its components. You will need the cloth version of the three original masks to craft the first Bishop Mask, however.

More detailed description

All of the original masks are classified as heavy armour, with the exception of Morokei, which is light armour. With this mod, you can take the masks to a tanning rack to change their armour type, cycling as follows: Heavy Armour -> Light Armour -> Clothing.

The clothing version of each mask (or in Morokei's case, the heavy armour version) can be turned back to its original form by taking it to a forge, along with a filled Grand Soul Gem and three ingots of the the relevant mask's material (Ahzidal, Dukaan, Zahkrisos and Nahkriin = Ebony, Morokei = Refined Moonstone, Vokun = Steel). This serves as a small penalty for wishy-washy players who change their masks willy nilly, but you get a fair bit of smithing experience for it.

The clothing version of the Dragon Bishop Mask can originally be crafted by taking the clothing versions of Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos, along with three filled Black Soul Gems and three Daedra Hearts, to the Skyforge. Once it has been crafted, it can be freely changed to its light and heavy armour versions at a tanning rack for free. This one doesn't need a forge or additional materials to be reverted to its clothing version.

As a final detail, as of 1.1 I've modified Morokei's mask to include the changes made to it by USLEEP. Namely, its enchantment now reduces the time between shouts by 20%. USLEEP is not required for this mod to function, but why wouldn't you use it, anyway?

COMPATIBILITY

Includes a patch for anyone who uses Improved Closefaced Helmets. Probably clashes with mods that change the stats and appearance of the masks, although light modifications may be solved with a bashed/smashed patch.

ISSUES AND POSSIBLE FUTURE UPDATES

No promises here.
- Converting the masks into their different versions at the forge grants a fair bit of Smithing experience, and I have yet to figure out how to change this. (Fixed as of v1.1)
- I'm considering coming up with a way to turn the Bishop Mask into a quest reward, considering how powerful it is.
- The Bishop Mask uses the same model as Konahrik, which is a bit of a cop-out. Unless someone kindly donates assets for me to change that, it's likely to remain as is.
