About this mod

Adjusted armor meshes to fit Gimora's beautiful Sonia armor to male and beast-race characters. NOT a plugin; must be added MANUALLY to the existing mod!

Changelogs
I recently revised the meshes from Gimora's beautiful Berserk Sonia Armor to create support for male and beast-race characters to wear it too, which I have released as a patch for the Special Edition version of the mod here: Sonia Armor for Males and Beast Races. While I cannot release a direct patch for LE due to my not owning a copy of the game (and thus being unable to save the esp in the correct form) I did run the meshes through nifskope to optimize them for Skyrim LE. I am uploading them here as-is for people to make use of in personal adjustments to their existing copy of the original mod, or as a modder's resource to build and upload a LE Patch (or if they wish, to use for followers/overhauls/etc since Gimora's permissions on the original mod are relatively open).

Instructions:

If you have a passing familiarity with the Creation Kit or TES5Edit, you can easily attach the male meshes to your existing mod (which has the benefit over a patch of saving you a plugin slot at least) by replacing the Elven Armor placeholders that Gimora originally used. Just open the original mod in whatever program you prefer and point the armors to use the new mesh instead (e.g. data/meshes/sonia/sonia_cuirassM_1.nif).

To get Beast Race support as well, you will need to make new Cuirass, Helmet, and Glove AAs for Argonians and Khajiits and then attach those to the existing Armors, and remove Argonians and Khajiits from the list of races who can wear the main cuirass and gloves. (They were never included on the helmets.)

You will also have to add Orcs to the list of Additional Races who can wear the original helmet; they were left-out of helmet support in the original mod but I haven't noticed any significant clipping so they should be fine to wear it too.

I have also created rudimentary inventory models to replace the blank book used as a placeholder in the original mod! Attach those as well if you want them!

Theoretically you could also download the Sonia Armor for Males and Beast Races SE version and re-save it in the Creation Kit to change it from Form 44 to Form 43 and it should/might work as a patch for the Berserk Sonia Armor without further effort, but I have no way to test this. Let us know if it works if you do it!

(Theoretically you could also redo the main esp with the new assets rather than building a new esp as a patch, since LE has stricter plugin-limits than SE; people could download the original file to get the core assets, then download the replacer plugin alongside the new assets. If I were capable of making LE mods, that's what I would have done! Anyone who wishes should feel free to do just that, in fact. If you don't want to upload the resulting file yourself, I'll be happy to host it here if anyone makes one!)

Having Problems?

Note that since I do not have Legendary Edition Skyrim installed, there is very little I can offer in the way of assistance or troubleshooting. Ask for help in the comment section if you need it, and hopefully some other user will be able to assist you. I'm not even sure what the differences (if any) may be between the LE and SE versions of the original mod, because I have never used the LE version of it. I'm assuming --hoping-- that these meshes will work in the LE edition of the game, but I can't check myself. If you do get them working, please post a comment or screenshot to let others know!

*Usage Permissions for these assets are subordinate to those stated by Gimora on the original mod. Full ownership of these assets rests with them, not me!
