This won't go into very much detail but I can attempt to write up a tutorial when I have the time. Cathedral Assets Optimizer can convert the assets from SE to LE. Then you make a new ESP in the LE creation kit, and there was a custom xEdit script I found - can't remember where I got it - that can convert all form 44 records into form 43, but for this mod I just registered the assets myself instead of copying them over from the SE esp. Though of course, for bigger mods you run into many possibilities of things going wrong, but backporting is generally less error prone than porting in my experience.
I don't know about less resolution; afaik the texture resolution is the same as the SE version, though I did recompress some of the textures while porting the assets, so it might be that the resolution was changed.
First I would like to say beautiful work work recreating this armor set. This is the greatest armor in all of the elder scrolls history.
Second I was wondering if there were plans to update this mod by adding inventory meshes and textures instead of just using the ebony armor. Also some of the others are right the resolution on parts of the armor is a little low Wondering if we could see maybe 2k or 4k textures down the road?
This isn't a recreation; it is a direct port of the assets that were in the original mod. Should the original mod get improvements, I may backport them here, but I myself will not change anything about the meshes and textures in this mod - the assets aren't mine, after all, and I don't have sufficient skill to improve them anyway.
I have finally set my mod list. everything is downloaded and installed and all kinks and patches are done and done again just to be sure. However, it is all predicated on Light Armor. You arrive here with your sultry offering and I with very poor (at times) impulse control and delayed gratification skills am left once more to battle the old question: " will it be light or heavy". but i noticed that NPCs are giving naked comments when fully worn the armor. haha
