Open the Nether's Follower Framework menu and change to Riding Support Only.
Point to one of your followers. Open the horse menu and select horse and then Change Ownership. Last choice followers name. Your Follower will now only ride his own horse.
Update: Next update will have save and load settings. And load old settings on new game.
