In the new update I've added the "Toggle always run" key to Menu Mode section of controlmap.txt, so now the game will recognize the Caps Lock key in dialogue menu, as well as Shift key. Even less "sticky" walk-run switch :) Kudos to Vermunds for the advice!
And one more patch uploaded, for AH Hotkeys. If you have any other mod with its own controlmap.txt, let me know. I'll make more patches if needed.
It seems to revert with several animations. I went back to slow walking after a backstab, and I was able to reliably reproduce the problem with Wintersun's pray feature.
I always have my toggle run/walk mapped to E. Activate has been moved to F. Is that weird? I have it set in the ini to walk by default, and holding Q is also used to go from walking to running, or from running to walking depending on what E is doing. I'd say it kind of makes it like GTA.
I could go on with my layout, but there was a time when I played with a controller; I felt like playing on a keyboard/mouse would never work. But I gave it a chance one day and I have never gone back to controllers since then.
not sure if it was this but i kept getting corrupt NIF CTD and the last thing opened according to crash fixes was an interface file, i only installed this recently and i checked the file and saw it was an interface file, i think this causes a crash when combined with one of the interface mods im using or maybe just by itself, just reporting in case someone experiances something simillar.
Sorry, but it can't be the cause of your issues. This file is almost identical to the one included in base game, with only one line added that will work only for one key (walk/run toggle) in menus. It has no NIF files obviously (nif is for meshes). And of course it just technically can’t hit your FPS by any value :)
I just rollback to a older save and delete this file it get my fps back.Im not sure if was this mod or city fps mod so i delete them both. Thanks anyway for tweak im going test it more later.
it was this mod, like i said i don't have a clue why eighter, this is just what crash-fixes is reporting, says likely cause is mesh corruption and that the last thing/mesh or whatever that the game opened before crashing was an interface file called controlmap or something, i removed it and no more CTD (the CTD's weren't instant, they were likely happening when a certain action was taking place or a certain file was being read)
While I'm not sure if this is related to the problems reported, the statement "only one line added" is certainly not correct. I just extracted "Skyrim - Interface.bsa" and compared your edited file with the original using WinMerge. There are multiple lines edited and even some added that were not there before. Did you maybe use the file from Skyrim Special Edition as a basis? I wouldn't be surprised if using the "controlmap.txt" from Special Edition in Legendary Edition could cause some issues.
i already deleted the mod and all the crash logs but i'll reinstall it and give you the log since i want to help, soon as i can.
Edit :
i installed it and got the same error, but i'm sure that you won't be needing the log since its not your mod by itself that causes the CTD, this mod is incompatible with More Hotkeys Please mod, they both overwrite the same interface file Controlmap.txt and More Hotkeys Please is crashing the game because it doesn't have its required dependency (at least i think).
Glad this problem could be tracked down to a conflict with another mod. Regarding the file from "Update.bsa", that still leaves 2 more changes besides the new "Run" entry in the "// Menu Mode" block.
1. The "Screenshot" entry in the "// Main Gameplay" block was expanded by " 0x10" at the end. 2. A second "Journal" entry was inserted in the "// Map Menu" block. It has the same content as the entry in the "// Main Gameplay" block, but uses more tabulators.
I also checked if any of the DLC might have contained these changes, but they don't touch the interface and neither does the Unofficial Patch. I'm not sure there these changes might have come from.
Edit: I uploaded 2 images that show these differences for you to evaluate and endorsed your mod anyway.
@Noctum28 Thanks for the info. I think my file was really from SE. Although I don't think it may somehow harm the game (I personally used it for a long time on LE without any problem), I've uploaded the controlmap.txt identical to the vanilla LE one (from update.bsa) with only one needed new line.
@CurseOfTheYears I've uploaded patched controlmap.txt files for More Hotkeys Please mod. Please take a look at optioal files. It's a FOMOD installer, you can select the option you use (More Hotkeys Please mod has some optional controlmaps, I've made patches for all of them).
I have alot of interface mods so that maybe was my cause of fps drop and crash it conflict with other configs.Anyway thanks and endorse im sure will help other peoples with less mods than me.[1000 + mods +63 main menu MCM mods]
Getting on and off a horse still introduces this bug. Noticed this right away with my knight character. Apart from that this mod seems to work just fine.

Seems like You are set to solve all our problems in Skyrim LE. Gonna test later.
if i press the go button and then mount or dismount a horse, you are back in slow walking mode

I used controlmap.txt included in "Update.bsa" archive. It has higher priority over the "Skyrim - Interface.bsa".
@CurseOfTheYears
Please paste the crash report or give a screenshot of it, if possible. Thanks.
