Just discovered your mod a few days ago, love it, ENDORSED. I also love to make my own tweaks, and on this note I have made changes to the point that i feel it may justify a whole new 2023 version of this to be uploaded (most notably, ive added 4 "deficiencies" to each race; 3 skills -5, and one skill -10). I've also reinstated the vanilla "initial bump", so for instance a Nord at start will reflect as high as 35 in two-handed (15+10 initial bump, plus 10 in actual permanent buff) , and as low as 5 in Illusion (15 base -10 deficiency). Anyways, I was wondering if I could have your blessing, should i find the time and energy to create a plugin of my version and upload it? At any rate, big THANK YOU for your work! ~dan (tcbflash)
Only a year late to reply... Hope you don't mind. Go ahead, if you are still thinking about it. I'll add a quick note in the description that people are free to edit this as they will, maybe there's already something better out there... It is essentially abandoned!
Anything that returns the character uniqueness of older Elder scrolls games (namely Daggerfall and Morrowind) back to the formula is a good thing in my book!
Edit: unfortunately, this seems to overwrite Imperious Racials' skill edits. A shame.
Hello! I have some problems: i'm using SkyRE'_Races and it conflicts with this mod. Only the one upper in the load order takes effect, regardless of the fact that they do different things. Hope to find a solution!
Hi there ! This mod works fine for me except for one thing : my dawnguard vampire doesn't have the glowing vampire eyes anymore I think that is linked to the way you modify the vampire race. Can I expect an update ? Great mod by the way, thank you
Hey. I don't have dawnguard unfortunately, so I really have no idea. It's quite possible that dawnguard adds a new vampire race however, in which case my mod should not affect it. Not sure what I can do about this really, so if anyone feels like modifying my mod for dawnguard - go for it.
I have already made the necessary changes for my own personal use. i can upload it for you to add to this page or i can upload it to it's own page, whichever you would prefer.
This is an absolutely brilliant idea! I love it - I haven't downloaded it however, because I'm seeing a lot of complaints about brokenness. Please fix those things so I can download it!
Please fix. I noticed that the Bretons don't have the +5 added to speechcraft in the skills menu despite saying they do as part of their racial bonuses. I love the idea of this mod, it makes more sense, and makes other races viable for gameplay.
Hello, this mod is great. Really like the idea of giving a bonus related to the racial, instead of just starting with greater value. There is just one thing that I ask you to change, or to give us the option to disable that, which is the increase of carry weight. I am playing with requiem which give me a much less carry weight comparing with vanilla, and when I activate your mod, the carry weight from my High Elf goes from 90 to 300. Actually I didn't see this change in your description, I confess that I suspect about this. Is this suppose to happen with this mod? Is this happening with everyone else?
Yes I confirmed It with TES5Edit. This mod is imcompatible with requiem. It changes status of the races back to the update.esm values. So I'll try to make a Patch Plugin to use this great idea with requiem (:
so im trying desperatly to undo the mod... I don't get any perk points - after installing this mod - after leveling up anymore and I cannot uninstall the mod properly. player.resurrect -> disabling the mod -> loading old save didnt work so far as those "enchantments" are still shown.
