About this mod

This mod makes magic combat and spells in general a more direct mechanic making almost all spells have no charge to cast and it adds more versions of existent spells like flames or firestorm of diferent magnitude and diferent elements, as well as some other support spells or powers, like speed, healing, regeneration and increased health.

Hi. I made this mod mostly for myself and I decided to share it. I like the magic in this game, but I don't like how it adds a certain degree of strategy, even if it's minimal, so that's why I made it so almost all spells, even the master type ones, are casted without needing to charge. This only applies to the spells you will buy or obtain from mage vendors. I have not edited spells from other sources or spells aquired using console commands.

I also added new spells based on my preferences when playing skyrim. I want to get as many killcams as possible, and I have
trouble triggering killcams with spells that doesn't connect directly with the target, like the explosion from the fireball spell, the path that takes the ice storm spell or the blast or a destruction rune, and spells that do damage over time, like blizzard or poisons. I also don't like spells that are loud like ice spear or thunderstorm or that tint the screen like the spell incinerate. So this new spells are based on spells such as firebolt or firestorm.
 
Some of my other preferences when playing Skyrim is playingas a pure mage leveling only magicka and going fast. Since this makes my character really squishy and weak, especially to magic, I made some spells that increase elemental defense and increase speed.
 
This new spells are obtained reading/consuming the appropiate spellbooks that are sold by the appropiate vendors. The new spellbooks don't have any requirement of skill. A recently made character with destruction at level 20 can still buy the new
spellbooks of the new master level spells, for example.

My only attempt of balance the spells itselfs without needing casting time to fully charge the spells are in it's magicka cost, and my attempts to balance the spellbooks are in how expansive they are.

DAMAGING SPELLS:
Destruction:
 - Elemental Spells:
The spellbooks based on the 3 elements are sold byFaralda at the College of Winterhold.

Spells similar to flames:
This spells function exactly like flames but aremore powerful.
 - Flames Minor: "A gout of fire that does 25 points per second...."
 - Flames Major: "A gout of fire that does 50 points per second...."
 - Flames Greater: "A gout of fire that does 75 points per second...."
 - Flames of Disaster: "A gout of fire that does 200 points per second...."

Spells similar to firebolt:
This spells function exactly likefirebolt but with diferent intensities.
 - Fire Ember Bolt: "A fire projectile that does 20 points of damage."
 - Fire Blazing Arrow: "A fire projectile that does 40 points of damage."
 - Fire Scorching Spear: "A fire projectile that does 80 points of damage."
 - Fire Meteoric Lance: "A fire projectile that does 160 points of damage."

 -Frost Ooze: BUGGED. It cannot be learn and it doesn't appear in the spellmenu.

 - Frost Blast: "An explosion centered on the caster that deals 120 frost damage."
 - Absolute Zero: "An explosion centered on the caster that deals 300 frost damage."

Shock element:
 - Shock Ooze: "An explosion centered on the caster that deals 15 shock damage."
 - Shock Leak: "An explosion centered on the caster that deals 30 shock damage."

The spellbooks blood themed are sold by SybilleStentor in Solitude in the Blue Palace.

 - Health Sting: "Absorb 25 points of health from the target."
 - Health Suck: "Absorb 50 points of health from the target."
 - Health Drain: "Absorb 100 points of health from the target."
 - Health Feed: "Absorb 200 points of health from the target."
 - Health Devoure: "Absorb 400 points of health from the target."

Spells similar to firestorm with a twist:

This spells function exactly like firestorm but withdiferent intensities, a different element and an absorb effect, but it damages
the caster. The idea of this spells is to simualte a use of health as a resource rather than magicka. If someone wants to play as a blood mage or something. It's experimental on the numbers and it's most likely unbalanced and overpowered.

 - Lifeforce Ooze: "A violent explosion of the caster's blood centered on the caster that absorbs 60 points of health and damages it's user by half the ammount.
 - Lifeforce Leak: "A violent explosion of the caster's blood centered on the caster that absorbs 120 points of health and damages it's user by half the ammount.
 - Lifeforce Wave"A violent explosion of the caster's blood centered on the caster that absorbs 240 points of health and damages it's user by half the ammount.
 - Lifeforce Blast"A violent explosion of the caster's blood centered on the caster that absorbs 480 points of health and damages it's user by half the ammount.

- Fast: “Increase self movement speed by 200 for 30 seconds”
- Alacrity: “Increase self movement speed by 250 for 30 seconds”
 
"New Spells":
This spells increase movement speed on the target.
BUGGED. It only works if the target isrunning/sprinting and It doesn’t work unless either of the following happens:
Selecting your target, use the console command disableand then the console command enable so the game can recognize the new speed value of the target.
Save and Load or quickSave and quickLoad so the gamecan recognize the new speed value of the target.
- Speed Boon: “Increase target movement speed by 25 for 60 seconds. qSave & qLoad to reset the game to take effect.”
- Speed Aid: “Increase target movement speed by 50 for 60 seconds. qSave & qLoad to reset the game to take effect.”
- Speed Blessing: “Increase target movement speed by 100 for 60 seconds. qSave & qLoad to reset the game to take effect.”
 
Illusion:

Spells similar to paralyze and mass paralysis:
Thisspells function exactly like paralyze and mass paralysis but they are illusion spells and aren’t dependent on an illusion or an alteration level to spawn in the Drevis Neloren sell merchant inventory.
- Mental Cage: “Targets that fail to resist are paralyzedfor 10 seconds”
- Mind Prison: “All targets in the area that fail toresist are paralyzed for 15 seconds”
 
Conjuration:
The spellbooks are sold by Phinis Gestor at theCollege of Winterhold.
This spells function exactly like the regularconjuration spells but they summon two copies of the summons and there are two
versions, one that uses both hands and one that doesn’t, there’s also two notable spells that require an explanation:

This spells use two hands to cast:
- Conjure Small Pack: “Summons two familiars”
- Conjure Flaming Duo: “Summons two flaming atronachs”
- Conjure Icy Twins: “Summons two frost atronachs”
- Conjure Lesbian Angels: “Summons two storm atronach”
- Conjure Lezdom Devils: “Summons two dremora lords”
- Conjure Petty Court: “Summons two dremora lords”
- Conjure Shocking Pair: “Summons two storm atronachs”

This spells use one hand to cast:

There are two notable spells in this list: The “Summon/Conjure(Lesbian Angels)/(Lezdom Devils).
I have two mods that change the aspect of the Storm Atronach and the Dremora Lord to be sexy ladies, so I made it so the name of the spell is more sexual, but if you don’t have this mods, this will be very redundant spells.

Restoration:
Spells similar to Circle of Protection:
This spells function exactly like Circle of Protection and Guardian Circle but less powerful and available to buy regardless from your restoration level.
- Circle of Repulsion: “Undead up to level 10 enteringthe circle will flee.”
- Circle of Defense: “Any allies inside the ring willregenerate 18 health per second.”
 
"New Spells":
This spells increase the health for the caster.
This spells last for 5 minutes:
- Vigor Lesser: “Increase 50 points of health for 300 seconds”
- Vigor Minor: “Incre Increase as 100 points of health for 300 seconds”
- Vigor Major: “Increase 150 points of health for 300 seconds”
- Vigor Greater: “Increase 300 points of health for 300 seconds”
- Vigor Legendary: “Increase 600 points of health for 300 seconds”

This spells last for 8 hours:
- Vitality Lesser: “Increase 50 points of health for 28800 seconds”
- Vitality Minor: “Increase 100 points of health for 28800 seconds”
- Vitality Major: “Increase 150 points of health for 28800 seconds”
- Vitality Greater: “Increase 300 points of health for 28800 seconds”
- Vitality Legendary: “Increase 600 points of healthfor 28800 seconds”


LESSER POWERS:

The idea of this lesser powers is to give a character that doesn't use spells to atack or barely do to have a means to increase his/her movement speed withouth needing to switch equipment or to bring the menu. 

Powers that increase movement speed on theuser/caster:
- Foots of Hare: “Increase self movement speed by 50 for 30 seconds”
- Legs of Fox: “Increase self movement speed by 100 for 30 seconds”
- Body of Steed: “Increase self movement speed by 150 for 30 seconds”
- Wings of Liberty: “Increase self movement speed by 200 for 30 seconds”
- Aura of Wind: “Increase self movement speed by 250 for 30 seconds”

 - Healing Body: "Heals thecaster 200 points for 2 seconds."
 - Healing Soul: "Heals thecaster 400 points for 2 seconds."

Powers that it's main puropose is to heal for aduration of time:
 - Regenerate Lesser: "Heals the caster 5 points for 1 minute."
 - Regenerate Minor: "Heals the caster 10 points for 2 minute."
 - Regenerate Major: "Heals the caster 15 points for 3 minute."
 - Regenerate Greater: "Heals the caster 20 points for 4 minute."
 - Regenerate Legendary:"Heals the caster 30 points for 5 minute."

INSTALLATION:
Manual Instalation:

Extract the Straightforward_Magick rar fileinto your main Skyrim game usually in the adress: "C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim". Alternatively, drop/put the Straightforward_Magick esp file inside the Data folder located in your main Skyrim game usually in the adress: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data".
Or just a mod manager like Mod Organizer 2, for example.

UNINSTALATION:

Simply remove/deletethe the Straightforward_Magick esp file inside the Data folder located in your main Skyrim game.
