This mod attempts to translate the racial passives from The Elder Scrolls Online to fit Skyrim.

General Description


The main goal of this mod is to translate the racial passives from the MMORPG "The Elder Scrolls Online" to fit Skyrim's format. It is very lightweight and should be compatible with any mod that doesn't alter any of the races or their bonuses. I aimed to stay true to the passives from ESO, so if you deem any of the passives to be "not lore-friendly" then blame Zenimax Online Studios for making them that way. Some of the passives may not be included or identical to how they were in ESO due to the game mechanics being so different. I also attempted to balance these in Skyrim as much as I could so if you deem any race's passives to be over or underpowered then feel free to comment. I recommend you use moreHUD Inventory Edition, although it is not a requirement, without it the description of the effects may be difficult to read as they are all squished into a single ability.

Down below you will find the racial passives from ESO followed by how the passive is translated to Skyrim and how it appears and functions in-game. Below most of them is a comment by me which explains part of the thought process in how I brought the original passive to Skyrim.  I hope you enjoy and have a nice day! :)


The Racial Passives


Orc

Original ESO Passives


  • Craftsman: Increases experience gain with the Heavy Armor Skill line by 15% & Increases your crafting Inspiration gained by 10%.
  • Brawny: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
  • Unflinching: Unflinching Rage: Grants 1000 Max Health and heals you for up to 600 when you deal damage with a weapon, with a 4 second cooldown.
  • Swift Warrior: Increases your Weapon Damage by 258. Reduces the cost of your Sprint ability by 12% and increases your Movement Speed while Sprinting by 10%.


Passive From This Mod


  • Brawny: Your Orc blood increases stamina by 100, increases health by 50, increases physical damage by 15%, allows you to learn Heavy Armor 15% faster and Smithing 10% faster, increases movement speed by 10%, and restores health 10% faster in combat.

Modder's Comment: You will notice that one of the passives from ESO heals the player whenever they deal damage on a 4 second cooldown, however I decided to change it to increased health regeneration while in combat. The reasoning is because to get the original effect to work it would have likely required a script which I know some would not like and I am currently unexperienced with scripting using the Papyrus language, this is true for every passive like this of other races.

 
Breton

Original ESO Passives

  • Opportunist: Increases experience gain with the Light Armor Skill line by 15% & increases your Alliance Points gained by 1%.
  • Gift of Magnus: Increases your Max Magicka by 2000.
  • Spell Attunement: Gain 2310 Spell Resistance and 100 Magicka Recovery. The Spell Resistance granted by this effect will be doubled if you are afflicted with Burning, Chilled, or Concussed
  • Magicka Mastery: Reduces the Magicka cost of your abilities by 7%.


Passive From This Mod


  • Magicka Mastery: Breton blood grants a 30% resistance to magic, increases magicka by 100, increases magicka recovery by 25%, and reduces spell cost by 15%.

Modder's Comment: In ESO, light armor is the equivalent of robes in Skyrim and since there is no skill for robes in Skyrim that effect could not be carried over. This also holds true for Alliance Points as there is no equivalent in Skyrim so that passive could not be translated.


 Redguard

Original ESO Passives


  • Wayfarer: Increases experience gain with One-Handed and Shield Skill line by 15% & increases the duration of eaten food by 15 minutes.
  • Exhilaration: Martial Training: Reduces the cost of your Weapon abilities by 8%, and reduces the effectiveness of Snares applied to you by up to 15%.
  • Conditioning: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
  • Adrenaline Rush: When you deal Direct Damage, you restore 950 Stamina. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds.


Passive From This Mod


  • Wayfarer: Your Redguard blood increases your stamina by 100, reduces the cost of power attacks by 25%, allows you to learn One Handed and Block skills 15% faster, and restore stamina 10% faster in combat.

Modder's Comment: In Skyrim there is no such thing as a "snare" so that couldn't be carried over.

Argonian

Original ESO Passives

  • Amphibian: Increases experience gain with the Restoration Staff Skill line by 15% & increases your swimming speed by 50%.
  • Resourceful: Increases your Max Magicka by 1000. Restore 4000 Health, Magicka, and Stamina when you drink a potion.
  • Argonian Resistance: Increases your Max Health by 1000 and your Disease Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Diseased status effect.
  • Life Mender: Increases your Healing Done by 6%.
Passive From This Mod

  • Amphibian: Your Argonian blood is 50% resistant to disease, increases health and magicka by 50, increases healing by 10%, increases swim speed by 100%, allows you to learn Restoration 15% faster, and all potions are 20% more effective.

Modder's Comment: Even though it is not listed, Argonians will still have the Waterbreathing effect as I saw no reason to remove it.


 Nord

Original ESO Passives


  • Reveler: Increases experience gain with the Two-Handed Skill line by 15% & increases the duration of any consumed drink by 15 minutes.
  • Stalwart: Increases your Max Stamina by 1500. When you take damage, gain 5 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
  • Resist Frost: Increases your Max Health by 1000 and your Cold Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Chilled status effect.


Passive From This Mod

  • Stalwart: Your Nord blood gives you 50% resistance to Frost, increases health by 50, increases stamina by 75, decreases cooldown on shouts by 20%, allows you to learn Two Handed 15% faster, and decreases all damage taken by 20%.

Modder's Comment: There is no "Ultimate" in Skyrim but the closest thing in my eyes would be shouts so I gave Nords faster shout regeneration. 


Dunmer

Original ESO Passives


  • Ashlander: Increases the experience gain with the Dual Wield Skill line by 15% & reduces your damage taken by environmental lava by 50%.
  • Dynamic: Increases your Max Stamina and Magicka by 1875.
  • Resist Flame: Increases your Flame Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Burning status effect.
  • Ruination: Increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 258.


Passive From This Mod


  • Ruination: Your Dunmer blood gives you 50% resistance to fire, increases magicka and stamina by 90, allows you to learn One Handed 15% faster, deal 15% more physical damage, and all spells are 15% more effective.

Modder's Comment: Since there is no "Dual Wield" skill line in Skyrim, Dunmer will instead learn the One Handed skill faster.

Altmer

Original ESO Passives


  • Highborn: Increases experience gain with the Destruction Staff Skill line by 15% & increases your experience gained by 1%.
  • Spell Recharge: Restore 645 Magicka or Stamina, based on whichever is lowest, after activating a Class Ability. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds. Reduces damage taken by 5% while you are using an ability with a cast or channel time.
  • Syrabane’s Boon: Increases your Max Magicka by 2000.
  • Increases your Spell Damage by 258.


Passive From This Mod


  • Highborn: High Elves are born with 100 extra magicka, learn Destruction 15% faster, learn all skills 5% faster, restore magicka and stamina 10% faster in combat, take 10% less damage while casting a spell, and all spells are 15% more effective.

Bosmer

Original ESO Passives


  • Acrobat: Increases experience gain with the Bow Skill line by 15% & decreases your fall damage taken by 10%.
  • Y’ffre’s Endurance: Increases your Stamina Recovery by 258.
  • Resist Affliction: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000 and your Poison Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Poisoned status effect.
  • Hunter’s Eye: Increases your Stealth detection radius by 3m. After you use Roll Dodge you gain 10% Movement Speed for 6 seconds and a bonus to Physical and Spell Penetration of 1500 for the duration.


Passive From This Mod


  • Y'ffre's Endurance: Your Bosmer blood gives you 50% resistance to poison, increases stamina by 100, allows you to learn Archery 15% faster, decreases fall damage by 10%, increases stamina recovery by 35%, increases movement speed by 5%, and you ignore 10% of enemy armor resistance.

Modder's Comment: In Skyrim there is no "Roll Dodge" aside from the Sneak Roll in the original Sneak skill line (unless you are using a mod that adds a dodge roll mechanic) so I decided to make the effects gained from them permanent. Similarly, in Skyrim the player doesn't need to detect others in stealth so that effect couldn't be carried over.

Khajiit

Original ESO Passives


  • Cutpurse: Increases the experience gain with the Medium Armor Skill line by 15% & increases your chance to successfully pickpocket by 5%.
  • Robustness: Increases your Health Recovery by 100 and your Stamina and Magicka recovery by 85.
  • Lunar Blessings: Increases your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 825.
  • Feline Ambush: Increases your Critical Hit Damage and Healing by 10%. Reduces your detection radius in Stealth by 3m.


Passive From This Mod


  • Lunar Blessings: Khajiit blood grants 40 more health, stamina, and magicka,  increases health recovery by 15%, increases magicka and stamina recovery by 10%, increases pickpocket chance by 5%, increases critical damage by 10%, allows you to learn Light Armor 15% faster, and improves Sneak by 25%.

Modder's Comment: In Skyrim there is no "Critical Healing" so that effect couldn't be carried over. Medium Armor in ESO would actually be Light Armor in Skyrim which is why Khajiits receive a bonus in that. Khajiits will still have access to Night Eye as I thought it would make sense for them to keep it.

Imperial

Original ESO Passives


  • Diplomat: Increases experience gain with the One-Handed and Shield Line by 15% & increases your gold gained by 1%.
  • Tough: Increases your Max Health by 2000.
  • Imperial Mettle: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
  • Red Diamond: When you deal Direct Damage, you restore 333 Health, Magicka, and Stamina. This effect has a 5 second cooldown. It also will reduce the cost of all abilities by 3%.


Passive From This Mod


  • Red Diamond: Your Imperial blood grants 100 more health and stamina, allows you to learn One Handed and Block 15% faster, decreases spell and power attack cost by 5%, increases the amount of gold found, and restores health, magicka, and stamina 10% faster in combat.
