Meat/Dairy provides Health Regeneration.
Potatoes and Baked Food provide Stamina Regeneration.
Fruit/Vegetables provide Poison Resistance.

Food that is potentially bad for you, such as raw meat/fish and entire wheels of cheese in one sitting will cause Stamina Damage.

Food that is difficult or particularly time-consuming to eat will slow you down for a few seconds.

Alchemical Ingredients will generally retain one of their effects when used in a recipe, albeit sometimes modified. E.g. Salt Pile provides Magicka Regeneration.

If two Alchemical Ingredients that would create a potion together are used in the same recipe, the recipe gains the effect of that potion, though it does not scale with Alchemy level/perks.

A few items also have specific effects, just for fun.

NOTE: There is no hunger system in this mod, as it is designed to fit as cleanly as possible into Skyrim's existing systems and gameplay loops. Much like regular Skyrim, Food/Drink is there if you wish to use it but you are not penalised for ignoring it.

P.S. Item price values have not been altered since Skyrim's automatic potion pricing is a bit wacky and I have yet to go through and price the items individually/manually.
