This mod is great. And I love it. And it hasn't been updated in a while so, I doubt my complaint will be seen. Not sure this is technically a bug, although there isn't a forum open anyway.
The cubemaps on glass armor is f***ed up. And this isn't the author's fault, this is just how vanilla LE Skyrim is. Not only is the pieces of armor that have cube maps applied to them different between male and female in vanilla Skyrim LE, but the cubemaps aren't applied to all pieces of armor for either.
For males it seems cube maps haven't affected the hands and feet.
For females it does not affect the helmet.
These pieces of gear that aren't affected by these cube maps will be totally different colors. This isn't necessarily the mod author's fault, but there is... NO fix for this on Nexus. Breaks my heart.
Sidenote- It could also be that there is some other mod in my load order causing this.... Abnormality. But I have tried disabling every single armor mod in my load order I can find, and checking the armor with the vanilla texture. The problem replicates. Only disabling this mod resolves the issue. Such a crying shame, this is such an amazing difference from something so simple ;-;
I also don't see anyone on here but me reporting this issue however, so someone please tell me if there's something else that could eb causing this. I have ensured SC - Cubemaps is not overwritten by anything.
So I put the cubemap I wanted into the appropriate folder in my mod and then changed the appropriate paths for the armour in Nifskope, but it's not working. Help?
Lol, Miss, I'm totally confused. I have like a low to mid end PC in todays ways, and this mod made me so happy.
I havent yet tried it without being on weed, wich makes it more confusing, and I notice the game somehow looks WAY more awesome, even with only the "twice as" cubemaps option... but I can't really understand why is this so!
I need to learn about this all so much more. I've been wanting to make mods for years now, but I don't know, I'm somehow afraid.
Anyways, works like this are inspiring. I would even show a few pics of how a good Athlon with just onboard VRAM can do, mixed with the magic of modders..
Edit: Say, I use Aurelia, real clouds, latest ENB but only the basics, say surface scattering, distant shadows, particle lights...
I use performance textures for buldings, Septentrional Landscapes, shores and snow, your tipical good rustic clothing and stuff, shiny steel, HAR, (I turn to Bethesda Performance Texture if I need the extra fps), Correct UV Details, Skyrim Suplemental Patch and Exterior Fixes, Northern Grasses, Northern Brawn, like... many more, but you get the picture.
Well I think, your cubemaps are as if you took Skyrim to a generation forward, like, an actual Very Special Edition.
I don't know, almost everything seems to look better. And my set up is not really for graphics but for fps. Imagine that.
"CBBE"... you can also ask which perk trees are affected, man.........
And, of course, excellent work. I was also shocked long time ago when I saw cubemaps with streetlights, guys in casual wear, and high-end cars... maybe is Skyrim in the 40th Era...
Здарова бро! Пожалуйста если не трудно поделись броней? ты написал что нужен специальный корпус...может я попробую повторить то что сделал ты...Пожалуйста!!!
I love this replacer, it really adds a certain, shine to my modlist, but I'm having an issue whenever I'm inside ruins with stone walls, there's this big bright red and blue reflection on the walls, do you know how I could find the cubemap that affects these walls?
