About this mod

Optional more realistic method to create Steel Ingots.
Works on any language.

Permissions and credits
Longstanding debate on steel.
In real life on Earth, steel can be created in various ways, depending on the intended use.
Although Corundum can be utilised, it is not the only ingredient besides iron.
Generally the addition of chrome and/or carbon is also used, among other elements.

So, on planet Nirn and on the continent of Tamriel, carbon can be extracted from charcoal.
By smelting iron ingots and charcoal, a form of steel can now be created.

When you've obtained the Steel-Smithing Perk, you need 2 charcoal and 1 iron ingot at a smelter to create 1 steel ingot.
Additionally, charcoal can be smelted from firewood.

The vanilla steel recipe is not touched, this is in addition.
Compatible with Ordinator.

I made this mod a while ago for personal use, but decided to share with whoever wants it as well.
Also available on Special Edition.

Download and use the mod manager of your choice, or unpack directly to your DATA folder.
Remember to activate the esp.
Load order should not matter ~ you can even let LOOT decide.
Should not conflict with anything, only depends on the base game. DLC's not required.
Uses no scripts, so can be uninstalled anytime.

I share this with the Skyrim community. Not to be used for financial gain, whatsoever. You may use it otherwise as you wish.

Thanks to Bethesda for this life-invading game, and to Nexus & community for completing the invasion. Couldn't have done it without you!
