A couple of quick notes before anyone asks:

-This mod is currently compatible with animation mods (eg Immersive animations, Pretty combat animations, Animated Armory, most FNIS mods, etc...)

-As of now I’ve found through testing that one handed restrictions (including blocking and power attacks) don’t affect the NPCs, only bow restrictions work on both player and NPCs, because they probably use different “triggers”, unlike the player’s.
I've attempted many things but none of it seemed to have worked; my last resort is altering behavior files which is really not good because A) I have no experience with such thing, and B)That would most likely make this mod have a LOT of compatibility issues with animation mods.

I’d also like to point out that I did try to add scripts to NPCs near the player that are in combat so that if they run out of stamina during bow draw/ blocking (but currently only bow draw is useful) they’d be forced to lower and it worked, might release as in "experimental" version at some point.

-If you would like to know if this mod is compatible with another mod or a set of mods, use TES5edit and check if any of those have an "Idle Animation" header in them, if they do make sure this mod doesn't overwrite anything from them, if they don't then it should be 100% compatible.

Thanks for checking out my mod everyone, hope you enjoy and please endorse if you did! :)

Awesome mod, just wanted to ask, can the feature of not being able to attack, in general, after running out of stamina also be applied to NPCs through TES5Edit or some other way, that would just be terrific.

Edit: after testing I found out that the scripts can also be applied to the NPCs by activating it in the MCM but it's still not working. The NPCs just continue attacking at zero stamina. It only works on my character, does anyone know of a fix?

Is there some way you could make this compatible with Andromeda/other mods? Anything that adds a status effect for stamina makes stamina no longer regen in combat.

I found the issue, it's this mod. Whenever an outside source changes the stamina regeneration rate, the MCM setting goes off the charts. If I have an effect that decreases the stamina regen by 50% when the rate in the settings is set to 30, it tanks to negative 70. If I have it set to 30 and the opposite, and 50% increase effect is active, my stamina regen is set to 150.

Unfortunately not, and I haven't really modded Skyrim much since I stopped using this mod. To be more specific on the issue, it wasn't only modded status effects that break the regen speed, it's vanilla ones as well. For example; drinking booze of any kind.

I like this. But I have a lot of mods that lower my stamina regeneration so sometimes I'm stuck on empty. This would make melee combat even more impossible for me.

There’s an option to increase stamina regen in this.

So I'm not the only one. The settings seem to go AWOL and set the regen values to extreme amounts when this happens.

It's weird, when I'm using this mod I can't bash attack with any crossbows and sometimes the crossbows attacks turn into slashing attack (like melee weapons attack) continuously. As for bows and other melee weapons work normally

Could just be me, but with CGO and Stamina Matters two handed weapons have no block.

edit: Found workaround using a shield in off hand and two handing, still don't know if this is a bug or not.

if you`re still having this issue or anyone in the futhure is having this issue, the solution is to load StaminaMatters.esp after DSerCombatGameplayOverhaul.esp.

Whenever I activated this mod my game crashes then moment I get to the game menu. and when I don't have it active everything is fine. I have CGO but I also downloaded the compatibility patch it still doesn't work. Any Idea what I can do? or what information I need to offer to help me out ? Thank you in advance.

This regard my post. I was big braining and didn't notice I was over the plugin limit. reduce the plugins and work with no crashes.

i wish the NPC Option is not optional and experimental because i hate NPC AI in requiem,
they don't care that blocking consuming stamina and they drain their stamina so much but still blocking.

If anyone is having problems blocking with two-handed weapons with this mod in addition with Combat Gameplay Overhaul, i have a fix for you that may work. Open Stamina Matters.esp in TES5 Edit. Open the idle animations folder and delete the rules Blocking Start, Attack Left H2H, and Block Anticipate. After a day of re-installing mods, changing load orders, clean saves, and numerous other methods this is the only thing that works. It may not be a clean fix and it may impact other aspects of the mod but this is the only way to get your ability to block with 2-handed weapons back that I found. You may need to re-install CGO and re-run nemesis.
