  • I do not inspect or have any influence over translations of my mods (including those linked directly on my pages), nor do I have any power over patches or add-ons made to my content. "The xenophobic Beholders are immediately identifiable, essentially being a floating head with a single cyclops-like eye, surrounded generally by 8 smaller eye-tentacles. Other than that, the main feature of a Beholder's anatomy is its huge open mouth with rows of sharp teeth and a long, sticky tongue. Because their entire body is covered in eyes, Beholders have the ability to see in all directions at once, making it nearly impossible to ambush them while also giving them an unusual degree of perceptive ability. Beholders are able to levitate, despite lacking wings or similar physical characteristics, simply hovering above the ground effortlessly, through some magical effect.

They are Daedra, and are speculated to originate from the Shivering Isles or Apocrypha, although they can be found scattered throughout other realms in smaller numbers. Racist and cruel creatures, Beholders are quick to attack their enemies, including anyone they deem “unworthy of living.” Beholders are, as a rule, violent, sadistic and greedy, craving wealth and power over others. All of this causes a rift even within the family to which the Beholders belong, which includes beings such as Watchers and Vigilants, and even between variants of the Beholders, each believing themselves to be the pinnacle of bodily perfection and seeing the other different Beholders as enemies, aberrations and disgusting inferiors. Because of this, Beholders not only despise Watchers and Vigilants, but also despise and hate other Beholders, even those absolutely identical to them. They also despise most other Daedra, respecting only the Daedra Princes, and also other Daedra Lords, with power and influence greater than theirs, probably aspiring for some benefit or advantage. Despite this, some seem to like having mortals around who in some way flatter them, which leads several Beholders to create and govern covenants on Nirn. Nonetheless, those covenants never bring two Beholders together in the same place, because in the end, the biggest prejudice of a Beholder is against its own kind. Furthermore, scholars believe that the apparently inexplicable absence of Beholders in Apocrypha is due precisely to the terrible prejudice they have against other members of the same family, very abundant in that realm, although several scholars believe, as mentioned, that they also originated from this realm ruled by Herma Mora, like most of their close cousins.

Regardless of their daedric alignment, interestingly all Beholders remain adept to their unique form of magic: Beholders produce glowing red energy, which they can use by firing it in the form of beams from their various tentacle-eyes, in addition to producing powerful telekinetic magic from their central eye, causing a highly dangerous area effect. They are skilled users of charms: they can enchant the enemy's body so that the victim temporarily lose all of his stamina, or fire anti-magic rays that will temporarily remove all of the victim's magical ability. Additionally, lethal rays can also be fired, quickly destroying internal tissue and organs. All of these spells are fired in the form of beams from the eyes of the Beholder's tentacles and are especially dangerous when combined with the aforementioned telekinetic magic, which causes a restriction of the victim's movements. When using telekinesis, they become enveloped in a red orb of concentrated energy, approaching this orb results in a temporary restriction that lasts a few seconds, enough time for the Beholder to finish the life of its prey.

(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.
