V1.2.1 has just been released! - Fixed an issue where players were unable to save inside the cave. - Implemented some failsafes to make sure the quest can end correctly.
I recommend making a clean save if you are updating halfway through the quest. Users who have already completed the quest need not update, as no changes to the items have been made!
When choosing the greatsword and scabbard, I strongly recommend installing RaceMenu and tweaking the sword's position to your satisfaction, as the parry hooks inevitably make the scabbard appear to float when unsheathed. I'll try to streamline this process in the future - in the meantime, I would greatly appreciate some feedback!
The attached quest to the gear is better than most dedicated quest mods. Beautiful story, the voice acting was amazing, and it felt integrated into the base game. Please consider doing another storyline for Skyrim SE, even if it's short. I would happily experience it. This got me right in the feels.
Love the mod! I used it in LE, happy to use it now in SE. In case anyone else runs into this issue: if you use a mod that removes fog, you will run into a visual problem with completing the quest:
Spoiler:
Show
Once you arrive at the correct location after being guided by the sword, it'll appear as though you're supposed to walk up something, but nothing is there. That's because the path is "made" of fog, so it's now invisible. You can still walk and pay attention to whether your character is moving "up" or "down" before getting to the portal, so it's not quest breaking, just a visual glitch due to a mod that removes fog.
Looking forward to plaything thru this mod - i am however unable to extract the FOMOD in MO. Getting message that "installer plugins" cannot "handle archive" Any advice?
If you get this error you can use the installer section in Wyre Bash (The software you use for your Bashed Patch) which normally can handle FOMODS that have issues.
Wow! What a brilliant experience this is. Just wondrous; spectacularly gorgeous, very sad, yet full of hope. I sincerely wish all mods were crafted with such profound thought and care. Very well done.
My one and only complaint, which is purely subjective, is that this mod runs way too short. I wish it were several hours long -- at the very least, wherein the extant mod served as the beginning, a doorway into a perilous descent into some world of the dead, perhaps dead souls that are trapped in the Soul Cairn but are able to be released into Sovngarde by means of some action taken by the Dragonborn. Or it could be the souls of people trapped in Draugr who now have a chance to regain their half-lives fully and then pass on to Sovngarde, if the Dragonborn does something to help them. Something along these lines, continuing the theme of the dead, or undead, requiring help that only the Dragonborn can give them.
Just an idea or two. I'd love to see something like this. And perhaps many others would as well. You never know.
Anyway, thank you for such a wonderful mod. I really grasped my imagination and I only hope you will consider continuing the story.
This was an excellent, EXCELLENT mod!! Thank you so much! It was innovative and the reward at the end was absolutely awesome! I wish that vanilla quests were that good!
