Replaces the static Imperial banners found in Solitude and elsewhere with Stormcloak banners, to be installed after the Stormcloak victory in the civil war. Works with all banner textures, vanilla or modded. Replacer files only, no .esp. Optional File to remove the Imperial logo from the Solitude city flag texture from Designs of the Nords.

MOD DETAILS
This mod replaces the static Imperial banners found in Solitude's Castle Dour and elsewhere throughout Skyrim with Stormcloak banners. The mod files are simple replacers, which can be installed after the Stormcloak victory in the civil war. There is no .esp, so all versions of this mod may be installed or removed safely at any time. Players should choose one Main File for installation. The Mesh Replacer version will work with all banner textures, both vanilla and modded. There is also a Texture Replacer version for players using Designs of the Nords textures, which will keep the rope borders along the top and right sides of the banners. Please see the above screenshots for comparisons. Additionally, there is an Optional File containing an edited Solitude city flag texture from Designs of the Nords, which removes the Imperial logo from the lower portion of the city flag.
Both Main File versions will apply to all in-game instances of Imperial banners, including Imperial banners used in other mods, as long as they use vanilla file paths.
Main Files: (two different options for replacing the Imperial banner - choose one Main File only)
Stormcloak Victory - Imperial Banner Mesh Replacer - Uses mesh replacer files for sbannerlmid01.nif and sbannerlong01.nf, created with edited and renamed versions of whstormcloaksfancybannertrim01.nif and whstormcloaksfancybanner01.nif, respectively. Compatible with all textures, this Main File option will display whichever textures are being used in-game for the Stormcloak banners, whether vanilla or modded. Because these mesh replacers are edited versions of the Stormcloak banners found in Windhelm's Palace of the Kings, they will not have the rope borders along the top and right sides of the banners present on the vanilla Imperial banner meshes. The replacer meshes have also been edited to be static in the same way as the Imperial banners, so they will not sway on the wall as if caught in a draft.
Stormcloak Victory - Imperial Banner Texture Replacer (DotN) - Uses a replacement texture - sbanner01.dds (and normal) - to display the Stormcloak banners without altering the vanilla meshes. The replacement texture was created using the sonsofskyrimfancybanner.dds banner texture from Designs of the Nords, allowing for maximum compatibility with that mod. This Main File option will always display DotN's Stormcloak textures when installed, and can be used with or without DotN.
Optional File:
DotN Solitude City Flag - No Imperial Logo - A simple texture edit of citybannersolitude01.dds from Designs of the Nords to remove the Imperial logo from the Solitude city flag. This file can be used with or without DotN.
INSTALLATION | UNINSTALLATION DETAILS
Mod Manager:
To install and uninstall this mod, follow the standard procedure for your preferred mod manager.
Manual:
Install by placing the mod's Data folder in ...\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim (allow merge and overwrite).
To uninstall, remove the following files:
For Mesh Replacer version --> delete sbannerlmid01.nif and sbannerlong01.nif from ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\architecture\solitude\clutter
For Texture Replacer version --> delete sbanner01.dds and sbanner01_n.dds from ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\architecture\solitude
For the Optional File --> delete citybannersolitude01.dds from ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\clutter
