It has found it's way into the hands of the Mede Emperors, who have kept it as an heirloom ever since. The gem, being a part of the Chim - el - Abadal, is naturally very powerful. The Crown of Akatosh was made as a fallout of the 1000 years of history which was danced away by Marukh, the monkey prophet. In their separation, the Imperial Akatosh and Nordic Alduin were wounded, and the crown is the result of their mixed blood droplets being set in a Crown. Some say that the crown was sequestered by a Nordic follower of Marukh, somewhere near his native Falkreath...

The Scale of Akatosh was made when several pinpricks of blood from the Dragon of time were fixed into a necklace following the warp in the West, a breaking of the Dragon that made the Province of High Rock into what it is today, although is is rumoured that the artifact is from a stream of time which did not happen in our Kalpa. Some say that a Nordic follower of the Champion of a certain Arena carried it west after the event, and, being a devout follower of the Dragon cult of Skyrim, gave it to the high priest of a Temple of Alduin in the Rift...
