About this mod

This is a reverse port from makemelogin's books of the Bible. It is a treasure hunt around Skyrim for the different books of the Bible in KJV. I intend to create and release an alternative version, but for now, his original one is available here!

Original makemelogin description: This mod does not remove or change any content, it simply adds new chests in scattered locations.  Search far and wide all over Skyrim in order to find each chest containing all the books of the Holy Bible KJV.   The chests are not exactly hidden but they are out of the way and should not conflict or change ANY other data in game.   I used duplicates for the chests and books.  Now if there are any others who want to take Jesus with them into Skyrim and read the Word of God they can.

Visit the Dragons Reach and grab a complete copy of the Bible on your way to see the Jarl.

Explanation from pforpterodactyl:

My intention for Children of YHWH is to make the Bible available in the game first, but ultimately I would like to do something more with this idea. I am currently working on an alternative version of the Bible - I don't mean I am changing meanings or anything, just the arrangement of the texts. I am putting the content into different collections, essentially (Adam and Eve getting its own book, for example, and all of the genealogies in their own) and if I feel so inspired, maybe the terminology to use the original Hebrew names of people, and a few Elder Scrolls terms (Nirn instead of "the earth", for example). The goal is not to add to or eliminate any part of the Bible or change the essence of what is written there. The goal is to organize it in a way that is a little simpler to read and slightly more lore friendly. Anyway, this version is not yet available. The version that is available, is makemelogin's.

Eventually I would also like to create a proper quest mod and minor magic overhaul to go along with the Bible, but for now, here is something for you! We wanted to share our passion for Jesus Christ in our world of Skyrim (plus it adds more books if you are like me and want to fill a library). If you don't want a Bible in your Skyrim, then don't download it. As for me, I like having the Word of God everywhere and was pretty happy to find it in a mod. You can also check out Tetradite's Bible, which is a simple book in Solitude which grants The Blessing of the Lord when you pick it up. I intend to change the text in mine and use it as a sort of "on the go" version with a few of my favorite verses. I will probably use that until my own mod is complete.

Merry Christmas!
