Immersive Horses v2.5 I believe is one of the better horse overhaul mods but the one thing that has been frustrating to use is the talking to people from horseback feature. This is an edit to one of scripts by sevencardz - CyborgArmGun - KrittaKitty, to grab the closest npc instead of a random one.

Version 1.0
Edited GetActorNearPlayer global function in IHOUtil.psc to actually grab the closest npc instead of a random npc when the crosshair targeting fails.
Immersive Horses is great but talking from horseback feature is so unreliable especially when playing in third person. In third person usually the player and his horse will block the crosshair targeting of the person you are talking to. With this fix installed and overwriting the original IHOUtil.pex script, when talking from horseback, it will target the closest npc to the player if unable to obtain a target from the crosshairs. Now you will be able to talk to anyone with 99% accuracy... I leave room for error because your stupid followers might run into you and get triggered as the closest. The original mod just grabs a random npc when it can't get a crosshair target and it is usually never who you were trying to talk to.
