If you are using skyrim first version with no DLC I believe when you try to install mods that require DLC this site has option to download them I think I upgraded to Skyrim LE regardless I was having issues with SKSE 1.7.3 and I Figured out what I was doing wrong. Download SKSE 1.7.3 zip from SKSE site unzip copy dll and exe also steam dll to directory not data after in the zip folder there is a data folder open it it should say scripts now create an archived folder of those scripts or zip folder grab the archive or zip and install it in the mod manager of choice.

This is purely aesthetic, but I figured I'd drop it here. My SKSE launcher is of course in the Skyrim steam files, but I wanted a shortcut on my desktop to launch the game easier, BUT the icon was a default program icon.

So I made one to look like a different Skyrim logo for aesthetic purposes on my desktop. Use it to your heart's content. This is a GDrive link to its .ico file. To change the icon just right-click the launcher shortcut itself, then properties > shortcut tab > change icon > browse > find the path to the saved .ico file and select it.

This is my first time sharing anything like that, so thanks for your patience. And thanks to the creators of SKSE, I've been enjoying my return to Skyrim with all the mods I can now run.

I'm having trouble seeing which version it works with, because there isn't any SE-specific version of 1.9.32 . Everyone always refers me to a newer or older one, and the program doesn't take it.

I am kinda confused. I heard about patchdown  on Nexus for Skyrim versions, and a mention of up the versions to the latest... ... I mean, can SKSE download patched up a lower version of Skyrim to the latest version?

Else... any patches on Nexus to do that job?

    Thanks.

Apparently the AE got an update lately, thus my SKSE doesn't want to work... Any way to make it work again or any updates on the way ? Plz help me cuz my game works but a lot of mods don't work properly (namely SkyUi)

Well... for starters, you're on the wrong page. This is SKSE for the 2011 release.

I've been wondering something. Over on the mod page for Classical Lichdom, I got into a little conversation with the mod author about backporting SKSE scripts. This got me thinking; is there a way to tell whether any individual script file requires skse or not? He claims he was able to back-port a mod that required SKSE without issue. I would like to be able to ascertain how he was able to get away with that, seeing as I thought it was impossible. He insists he just copy-pasted the scripts from the SE version into his mod, and from his testing it functions fine. So far, the only issue that's been reported came from a mod user who tried to install the mod mid-game, which apparently doesn't work out well even with the original SE version.
