    Personally I like the letterbox shot more, but I'm also heavily biased since I use this effect more or less all the time. To me, this effect allows the beholder of the image to be better drawn in to certain focus points, but it's a personal taste of course. Regardless, both are beautiful shots...

      Oh, no!!! That was me too. LOL I was choosing between the 'depth' of no letterbox image and the 'classiness' of letterbox. And I chose the cut version to make it the main image, in spite of the fact it cuts half of the mountains height, halt of that steep slope and the pit - the 'main character' of the picture...
      Good thing I posted the no letterbox version!
