About this image

I have an idea swimming around in my head this morning.  Another character concept I have been working on is dark elf (Dunmer) wizard.   Normally, if this were a Dungeons and Dragons (or Pathfinder) game, I would have him planted in Sshamath of Faerun.  If it were Greyhawk, he would have been spotted leaving the Valley of the Mage or the colossal mountain chain that runs along the South western reaches of Oerth.  Normally, these location are dark elf wizard's grand central station, but Jhaamath Vrinn, aka Jhaamath Sauntarae, is the granson of Nelnfaen Sauntarae (of Faerun).  He was the only Drow to hold the office and title that is the Magister (Secrets of the Magister, Pg. 64).  Nelnfaer accomplishments and arcane knowledge have spread to short corners of the the dark elf community (ere, the renegade community and in particualr Sshamath).  In Skyrim however, Jhaamath is an outcast of Dunmer culture.  He lives on the road after his family lost their lives in the cataclysm that devastated Morrowind.  Although he has found some acceptance in Skyrim, he spends much of his time at the College of Winterhold or travels across Skyrim cold northern beaches.  He spends some time in Dawnstar or seeks the best of goods in Markarth after striking up a friendship of sorts with Calcelmo and his nephew.  Oddly enough, his first travel to Markarth also brought upon him his first lover's tryst with a woman only known as Margret.  Margret is a thief and a spy for the Imperial Legions of Cyrodiil and she spots something in the dark elf.  A kinder spirit, or a useful wizard that can enable her to move information and goods about Skyrim without arousing suspicion.  What Jhaamath sees in her is unknown, but it is the beginning of a hands-off, but amorous, partnership.
